From the second US tour in 1970, following the Philadelphia Electric Factory on the first day, on the second day of the next day, September 27, New York recorded the Fillmore Ace performance with high-quality audience recording. According to historical facts, the band stood on two stages, 6 and 9 o’clock, but the recording of this performance is said to belong to the early show. It is a good quality sound source that has been familiar to enthusiasts from the past, but this edition contains a surprising upgrade version that appeared this summer. The sound quality is excellent for recordings of this era. Originally referred to as the “Marbal” tape, the “Low gen Maxell UDXLII C90 cassette” he obtained in February 1983. A digital transfer of a tape recorded on Dolby B with Dolby off. This version was uploaded to the net, but it seems that a lot of masters worked on it, and the pitch adjustment depending on the song is perfect. Roger talks about equipment upsets after playing Astronomy Domine, but in fact, Careful With That Ax, Eugene had Roger’s base upset after screaming (as seen at 4:20, 4:50, 6:10, etc.). Until you return, you can hear Roger hitting the gong, a rare development that you can’t hear anywhere else. The last Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun is also disappointing with the tape change cut in the 7th minute, but it is a masterpiece with a majestic high-quality take of 12 minutes! !! On this day, “Atom Heart Mother”, which was co-starred by 10 brass and 20 choruses, should have been performed for the first time on the US tour, but unfortunately it was out of tape and could not be heard. Hmm. However, Floyd’s performance at this time, which can be heard with outstandingly fresh and clear high-quality sound, is a word of excellence, and fans are sure to listen to it.

1970年に行われた2度目の全米ツアーから、初日フィラデルフィア・エレクトリック・ファクトリーに続く、翌日2日目の、9月27日ニューヨークはフィルモア・エースト公演を高音質オーディエンス録音で収録。バンドは史実によると6時と9時の2度のステージに立ったとのことですが、この公演の録音はそのアーリー・ショウのものと言われています。過去よりマニア間ではお馴染みの良質な音源ですが、本盤は、今年の夏になって登場した驚きのアップグレード版を収録しています。この時代の録音としては、その音質は上々。元は「Marbal」テープと言われているもので、彼が1983年2月に入手した「Low gen Maxell UDXLII C90 cassette」。ドルビーBで録音されていたテープをドルビー・オフの状態でデジタル・トランスファーしたもの。ネットにアップロードされた今回のヴァージョンですが、かなりの達人が手掛けたようで、曲によってのピッチの調整も完璧。ロジャーがAstronomy Domine演奏後にイクイップメントの不調について語っていますが、実際、Careful With That Axe, Eugene ではスクリーミング以降(4:20と4:50と6:10等で判る）にロジャーのベースが不調で、復帰するまでの間、ロジャーが銅鑼を叩くという他では聴けない珍しい展開を聴くことができます。ラストのSet The Controls For The Heart Of The Sunも7分目のテープチェンジカットが残念ですが、12分に及ぶ堂々たる高音質テイクで圧巻の出来栄えです！！この日は、この後、全米ツアーでは初めて10名のブラス隊と20名のコーラス隊の共演による「Atom Heart Mother」が演奏されたはずなのですが、残念ながらそれはテープ切れで聴くことが出来ません。しかし、鮮度抜群のクリアーな高音質で聴ける、この時期のフロイドのパフォーマンスは絶品の一言であり、ファンは絶対必聴間違いありません。
