Probably the most vivid sounding “Wall of West Germany” in the world, the upgrade master of the best masterpiece recording has been newly unearthed. [West Germany’s masterpiece closely related to “The Wall”] The masterpiece master was recorded in “February 20, 1981 Dortmund performance”. It is the transcendental audience recording. “THE WALL Tour 1980-1981”, which is famous for its reenactment of the concept album, has been realized in 4 cities only. For those of you who have noticed this article, let’s review the whole view again.

This is the whole picture of the century story tour “THE WALL Tour”. 31 performances were held in 4 cities that symbolize the 3 major powers of the rock scene: West Coast / East Coast of the United States, United Kingdom, West Germany. All eight performances in West Germany were held at “Westfalenhallen”, and this work was recorded on the final day.
From a different point of view, Germany can be said to be the country most closely related to “The Wall”. Not to mention that it was re-performed many times in the 21st century “THE WALL LIVE Tour”, it was also performed in the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990. It is the only country where “The Wall” of the three eras has been realized, and this work is a live album that is also the masterpiece of the “original THE WALL Tour” version.

[New excavation by the 1st Gene Master who updates the highest peak ever] By the way, the final day of the West Germany edition is famous for the fact that the finest recordings were left for a long time, but this work updates the highest peak of its historical name recording. It is a brand that has been digitized directly from the 1st Gene Master. Here, if you are an avid collector, you may be asked “that?”. As a matter of fact, the highest peak board “WESTPHALIAN WALL (Sigma 17)” was also “1st Gene”, but this work is a new excavation master different from that masterpiece. It was brought by the same route as the recent “FLAT TRASFER” series, and while it is the same recording / generation as “WESTPHALIAN WALL”, the sound is also upgraded.
Whether the dubbing accuracy was different only once, the storage environment of the master was good, or the difference in digital transfer … I don’t know the reason, but anyway, it is clear that “the sound is better than before”. It was a sound board-like direct recording that didn’t feel the distance from the beginning, but this work has a more core that comes out in front. This is probably the difference in hall ringing. Although it is slightly sucked in as before, the conventional master was caged and rounded, but this work has increased the transparency of the sound, giving the playing sound a glossy shine. ..
This upgrade is similar to searching for the ultimate version of the official work. Rock masterpieces are destined to be required to have the “best sound”, and all methods such as press LPs of each country, new material CDs, new technology mastering, etc. are tried. As a result, various patterns of high-quality sound are realized, but the final decision is “how close the sound is to the original master tape.” It is from this point of view that this work is superior to the conventional version. I’m not sure, so I’m not sure, but I think the accuracy of the player at the analog stage is different.
Another thing that is superior to the conventional version is “Mother”. There is a recording omission cut here, but it is compensated for by another recording. Actually, the same compensation was done in “WESTPHALIAN WALL”, but the accuracy is higher in this work. The compensation of the conventional board was about 3 seconds, but this time it is about 5 seconds. Originally it was difficult to get an accurate beat just for the acoustic guitar playing part, but of course this time it is more precise.

Because it was a torn country, “The Wall in West Germany” sounded even more serious and heavier. It is a masterpiece that allows you to experience the original version with the highest quality. A masterpiece that goes beyond the dimension of “the best sound ever” and revives with a sound that shines. Please enjoy it with the permanent storage press 2CD.

 明らかにナチスを意識した「ハンマー親衛隊」や「In The Flesh」の人種差別風アジテーション、右翼的な「Run Like Hell」、そして「Waiting For The Worms」の歌詞などなど……様々なモチーフに「ドイツ」が刻まれていた物語作『ザ・ウォール』。恐らくは世界中でもっともビビッドに響いたであろう「西ドイツの壁」を極上体験できる最高傑作録音のアップグレード・マスターが新発掘されました。もちろん無論、プレス2CDで永久保存決定です。
 その最高傑作マスターが記録されたのは「1981年2月20日ドルトムント公演」。その超絶級オーディエンス録音です。コンセプト・アルバムの再現上演で歴史に名高い“THE WALL Tour 1980?1981”は、4都市限定で実現。本稿に目を留められる方には今さらとも思いますが、改めて全景をおさらいしておきましょう。
 これが世紀の物語ツアー“THE WALL Tour”の全体像。米国西海岸/東海岸、英国、西独……ロック・シーンの3大国を象徴する4都市で31公演が行われました。西ドイツの8公演はすべて“ヴェストファーレンハーレン”で実施され、本作はその最終日で記録されたわけです。
 また、見方を変えるとドイツは『ザ・ウォール』と最も縁の深い国とも言える。21世紀の“THE WALL LIVE Tour”で何度も再演されたのは当然として、1990年のベルリンの壁崩壊でも上演。3つの時代の『ザ・ウォール』が実現した唯一の国であり、本作はその“オリジナルTHE WALL Tour”版の最高傑作ともなるライヴアルバムなのです。
 さて、そんな西ドイツ編の最終日は以前から極上録音が残された事でも有名なのですが、本作はその歴史的名録音の最高峰を更新するもの。1stジェネ・マスターからダイレクトにデジタル化された銘品なのです。ここで、熱心なコレクターのかたなら「あれ?」となるかも知れません。実のところ、従来の最高峰盤『WESTPHALIAN WALL(Sigma 17)』も「1stジェネ」だったのですが、本作はあの名作とは別の新発掘マスター。昨今の“FLAT TRASFER”シリーズと同じルートでもたらされたもので、『WESTPHALIAN WALL』と同録音/同ジェネでありつつ、サウンドもアップグレードしているのです。
 もう1つ、従来盤よりも優れているのは「Mother」。ここで録音漏れのカットがあるのですが、そこを別録音で補填されています。実は『WESTPHALIAN WALL』でも同じような補填が行われていたのですが、その精度は本作の方が上。従来盤の補填は約3秒でしたが、今回は5秒ほどになっています。アコギの弾き語りパートだけにもともと正確な拍が取りづらかったのですが、もちろん今回の方が精密です。
★「1981年2月20日ドルトムント公演」の超絶級オーディエンス録音。歴史的名録音の1stジェネ・マスターからダイレクトにデジタル化された過去最高峰を更新する新名盤。従来の最良盤『WESTPHALIAN WALL』も1stジェネでしたが、マスターの保管環境が良かったのか、トランスファー精度の違いか……ともあれ今までより芯がグイッと前に出てくる。鳴りに籠もりや丸みがなく透明感が増しており、演奏音に艶っ艶な輝きを与えているのです。輝きまで放つサウンドで甦った「西ドイツのザ・ウォール」をフル体験できる最高傑作アルバムです。
