“IN THE FLESH Tour” which was the largest scale of 70’s PINK FLOYD. The hidden treasure that conveys the scene is a shocking new excavation. An urgent gift release decision.
The shocking work was recorded in “June 17, 1977 Louisville Performance”. It is the best audience recording. This recording has been known for several years, but it is the latest master released only recently that is sealed in this work. The biggest point is the sound and the one and only performance that only this recording conveys. In order to realize its true value, let’s first look back on the schedule at that time.

“January 21st release of” Animals “”
・ January 23-February 4: Europe # 1 (9 performances)
・ February 17-March 1: Europe # 2 (11 performances)
・ March 15-31: UK (9 performances)
・ April 22nd-May 12th: North America # 1 (12 performances)
・ June 15-July 6: North America # 2 (14 performances) ← ★ Coco ★

This is the panoramic view of “IN THE FLESH Tour” which was the biggest in the 70’s. Based on the convention, the legs are divided even with a blank of about 2 weeks, but basically the flow is “Europe → UK → North America”. Among them, the Louisville performance of this work was the second concert of the final edition “North America # 2”.
This work recorded at such a site is not only the impact of new excavation, but also a famous recording that is amazing in quality as an audience in the 70’s. Only the second part of the show (as you know, the composition of “IN THE FLESH Tour” is “animals” reproduction + “flame” reproduction + “Money / Us and Them”. This work is about 67 minutes recording of “flame + Money” However, the sound is powerful. Above all, with its wonderful power and direct feeling, the core without a sense of distance is struck in front of you. From the amount of heat and reality of the sucked cheers, it is not mistaken for a sound board, but it is no wonder that you make a mistake if it is just the sound effect, SE, and the close contact of vocals. It feels a bit over-peaked, but it’s a zero-distance sound that seems like an effect process.
This sound and the live performance I hear for the first time. With this alone, FLOYD enthusiasts will understand the value of this work. It must be a one-of-a-kind live performance, but the real thrill is not the degree of perfection as a musical work. The quality that had to be poured into the limits of knowledge and passion about 45 years ago, and the atmosphere of the site that has been passed down to the present day after overcoming the trials of such a huge amount of time. The spectacle itself inevitably burns the soul of vintage recording enthusiasts.

The brush ran involuntarily, but in reality this work itself is also an excellent live album. However, it is also a fact that the skin feels more exciting than that. Not only the wonderful British prog rock fans, but also the “sound of the times” that we want the brothers who have devoted their lives to love the heat of rock that made the world hot more than 40 years ago. Please chew on this work to your heart’s content.

70年代PINK FLOYDの最大規模であった“IN THE FLESH Tour”。

ショウの第二部だけ(ご存知の通り、“IN THE FLESH Tour”の構成は『アニマルズ』再現+『炎』再現+「Money/Us and Them」。
