On February 20th, the 13th day of the 1977 “In The Flesh” tour, Belgium recorded the Antwerp performance in high quality audience recording. It is a must-have for fans, recorded with perfect master quality with outstanding freshness. At the beginning, the sound quality of Sheep’s slightly rough sound image may give a different impression, but as you listen to it, the wonderful sound image that does not make you feel stagnation or deterioration in the treble and bass is actually a very high grade and excellent. It turns out that it is a recording. The sound stability is outstanding, and there are no annoying spectators around the recorder, so you can enjoy the performance. The serious mood and the intense ensemble that seems to be performed in Europe are wonderful, and you can listen to the ideal performance of the Animals Tour, which is completely different from the later performances in the United States. Mason’s drums are clearly recorded in the overall sound image, so you can enjoy a very sharp performance. Each song shows a high level performance with a high degree of perfection, but there is a part where the solo is messed up because Gilmore forgot the solo composition in the guitar solo from 1 minute 50 seconds of Dogs ( Around 2:20). There are other places where Gilmour plays wilder than usual, and there are some moments that surprise me when I listen to it. The twin guitar solo in the latter half of the 3rd minute is recorded with a surprisingly clear and powerful sound. You can hear Roger whispering “13” at 12:15 on the Pigs. The beginning of the second part of SOY CD is recorded as a fade-in. Also pay attention to the unusual guitar solo of the day, and you can listen to it with a deep clear sound, Gilmour’s long solo of the day is perfect for listening. The drums recorded with the same powerful sound as the first half are also impressive. The audience applauds the song. Welcome To The Machine has all the parts recorded very on, including the sound effect synth, which is also a powerful take. In the second half of Have A Cigar, you can enjoy White’s original solo with the sound familiar to Thin Lizzy later. SOYCD Pt6-9, where you can enjoy a drama with a sound of nearly 20 minutes, has a clear sound, and you can enjoy a masterpiece full of creativity that keeps you tense until the end. The uncollected encore money is recorded from the Paris performance two days after the Antwerp performance. A high-quality Floyd title that would normally be suitable for the release of a press CD is now available as a nice gift title.

1977年「In The Flesh」ツアー13日目の2月20日、ベルギーはアントワープ公演を高音質オーディエンス録音で完全収録。鮮度抜群の完全なマスター･クオリティで収録されたファン必携の一枚です。冒頭、Sheepのやや荒めの音像に音質いまひとつの印象を受けるかもしれませんが、聴き進むに置いて、高音も低音も淀みや劣化を感じさせないその素晴らしい音像に、実は非常にグレードの高い優秀な録音であることが分かってきます。音の安定感も抜群で、レコーダーの周りに煩い観客もいないので、演奏を堪能することができます。ヨーロッパ公演らしい、シリアスなムードとがっちりと固まった強烈なアンサンブルは素晴らしく、後のアメリカ公演とは全く違う、アニマルズ･ツアーの理想形の演奏を聴くことができます。全体の音像の中でもメイソンのドラムがクリアーに録音されているので、非常にメリハリのある演奏を楽しむことができます。どの曲も完成度の高い、ハイレベルな演奏を披露していますが、Dogsの1分50秒からのギターソロで、ギルモアがソロ構成を忘れたのか、ソロがめちゃくちゃになってしまう箇所があります（2:20付近）。他にもギルモアがいつも以上にワイルドに弾きまくる箇所があり、聴いていて驚く一瞬がいくつかあります。3分台後半のツインギターソロは驚くほどクリアーかつ迫力満点のサウンドで収録されています。Pigsの12:15でロジャーが「13」と囁くのが聴こえます。第二部のSOYCDの冒頭はフェイドインで収録。この日の一風変わったギターソロにも注目で、深いクリアーなサウンドで聴ける、この日のギルモアのロングソロは聴き応え満点です。前半同様に力強いサウンドで収録されたドラムも迫力満点。歌の部分で観客から拍手が巻き起こります。Welcome To The Machine は効果音のシンセも含め全体のパーツが非常にオンに録音されており、これまた迫力満点のテイクになっています。Have A Cigar後半では後のシン・リジーでお馴染みのサウンドでのホワイトのオリジナルなソロが楽しめます。20分近い音のドラマが楽しめるSOYCD Pt6-9は音のクリアーさもあって、全体が一丸となった、最後まで緊張感の持続したクリエイティヴィティ溢れる名演を楽しめます。本編未収のアンコールMoneyはアントワープ公演の２日後に行われたパリ公演からの収録です。本来ならプレスCDのリリースが相応しい高品質フロイドタイトルが、嬉しいギフトタイトルで登場です。

1977年に行われた世界ツアーの序盤から、BelgiumのAntwerp公演を収録。欧州公演は全体的に非常にクールな印象を受けるが、ステージに設置された円形スクリーンに写される映像とシンクロさせるため、クリック音をモニターしながら演奏することに不慣れだったこと、それとメンバーを煽り立てる観客の存在がなかったのが理由だろう。特に、ツアー序盤の本公演は、そうした印象が顕著である。さて本盤に使用された音源は、トレーダー間に広く流通する音源で、飽和状態ギリギリの録音レベルで録音されたのか、音圧は凄まじいが若干の音割れが確認できる。圧巻は「Have A Cigar」と「Shine On You Crazy Diamond Part 6-9」後半における、Snowy Whiteのギターソロ。ツアー後半になるとGilmourも絡んでくるが、ここでは終始バッキングに徹している。Whiteのロングサスティーンと美しいビブラートが印象的だ。
