PINK FLOYD, who was a male of up-and-coming progressive rock, and Frank Zappa, a genius who sharpened rock to avant-garde. A live album that allows you to experience a unique night where two talents overlap sounds has evolved. [Miracle night by British and American geniuses who evolved rock] Of course, “AMOUGIES POP & JAZZ FESTIVAL” on October 25, 1969 is included in this work. This is the full live album. It’s a legendary stage, but if you pick it up and review it … This festival is also called “European Woodstock” and is a big historical event held in 5 days. In addition to Floyd, THE NICE, YES, THE SOFT MACHINE, CARAVAN, RENAISSANCE, TEN YEARS AFTER, COLOSSEUM, Alexis Korner, Aynsley Dunbar (this festival met Zappa), etc … A large number of fierce men who were at the forefront of the event appeared. Under such circumstances, Zappa participated as a facilitator, but abandoned the moderator because the audience did not understand English (Amuzi is a French-speaking country). Instead, I jumped in and participated in the stage of the performing artists and contributed to the event. And the biggest incident was the co-starring with PINK FLOYD.
It has been a phantom stage for a long time, but the situation changed completely in 2006. The full audience recording “INTERSTELLAR ZAPPADRIVE” was unearthed from the fan label Harvested, and it is finally possible to experience the legendary co-starring. Furthermore, in 2016 (partially), the professional shot video was officialized in “THE EARLY YEARS 1965? 1972”.

[Supreme full version that makes full use of the official sound board] Well, it is a legendary stage that has been settled once, but this work is a new decision board that updates the highest peak. It is the best version that combines the above two highest peak records.
The key is the sound board sound that saw the light of day in the official box “THE EARLY YEARS 1965? 1972”. However, this sound board is only partial, and even if it is fully utilized, it takes less than 40 minutes and is about half the length of a full show. Therefore, the expansion of the sound board is the full audience recording, which is also famous for “INTERSTELLAR ZAPPADRIVE”. However, this is also aimed at the ultimate rather than simply using “INTERSTELLAR ZAPPADRIVE” itself. We went back to the original cassette and adopted a flat-transferred 100% pure unprocessed master.
As for the distribution of SBD / AUD, see the following songs, and the editing is finely detailed and carefully finished. While maximizing the natural feeling of audience recording, mastering connects the feels of both sound sources as close as possible. In addition, the inter-song part, which is silent only with the sound board sound, has been eliminated from the sense of incongruity by the matrix with the audience. そんな本作に収められているのは、もちろん「1969年10月25日“AMOUGIES POP & JAZZ FESTIVAL”」。そのフル・ライヴアルバムです。あまりにも伝説的なステージですが、掻い摘んでおさらいしますと……このフェスは“ヨーロッパのウッドストック”とも言われ、５日間で開催された歴史的大イベント。フロイドの他にもTHE NICEやYES、THE SOFT MACHINE、CARAVAN、RENAISSANCE、TEN YEARS AFTER、COLOSSEUM、アレクシス・コーナーにエインズレー・ダンバー（このフェスがザッパとの出逢いでした）等々など……多彩にして時代の先端を行く猛者たちが大挙して出演していました。そんな中でザッパは進行役として参加していたのですが、観客が英語を解さない（アムージはフランス語圏）ために司会を断念。その代わり、出演アーティスト達のステージに飛び入り参加してイベントに貢献していきました。そして、その中でも最大の事件だったのがPINK FLOYDとの共演だったわけです。
長い歴史の間に幻のステージであり続けたわけですが、その状況が一変したのが2006年。ファン・レーベルHarvestedからフル・オーディエンス録音『INTERSTELLAR ZAPPADRIVE』が発掘され、ついに伝説共演を体験できるようになった。さらに2016年には（部分的ながら）プロショット映像が『THE EARLY YEARS 1965?1972』で公式化されたわけです。

さて、そうして一度は決着が着いた伝説ステージなわけですが、本作はその最高峰を更新する新・決定盤。上記した２つの最高峰記録を組み合わせたベスト・バージョンなのです。
要となっているのは、公式ボックス『THE EARLY YEARS 1965?1972』で日の目を見たサウンドボード音声です。ただし、このサウンドボードはあくまで部分的であり、最大限に活用しても40分弱でフルショウの約半分ほどの長さ。そこで、そのサウンドボードを拡張しているのが、『INTERSTELLAR ZAPPADRIVE』でも有名なフル・オーディエンス録音です。ただし、こちらも単に『INTERSTELLAR ZAPPADRIVE』そのものを使用するのではなく究極を志向。その大元カセットまで遡り、フラット・トランスファーされた純度100％の無加工マスターを採用しました。
SBD／AUDの配分は下記曲目をご覧頂くとして、その編集も微に入り細に入っての丹念仕上げ。オーディエンス録音のナチュラル感は最大限に活かしつつ、マスタリングで両音源の感触を可能な限り近づけて接続。さたにサウンドボード音声だけでは無音なってしまう曲間パートもオーディエンスとのマトリクスで違和感を解消しました。もちろん「切り替えがまったく分からない」と言ったら誇大になってしまいますが、流れるようにシームレスな聴き心地はヘッドフォンで集中していても「あ、今変わった」ではなく「いつの間にか変わっていた」という聴感を追究。滑らかなショウの完全体験を実現しているのです。
