The music documentary “WINGS OVER THE WORLD” of the large-scale world tour since the Beatles. Introducing the finest professional shots featuring that historic music movie.[The finest digital version of a complete broadcast of a masterpiece movie] Speaking of “WINGS OVER THE WORLD”, it is a masterpiece of a music movie that no longer needs explanation. While focusing on the live footage of “WINGS OVER THE WORLD TOUR” held in 1975/1976, various footage such as private shots and rehearsals from 1971 to the tour, backstage at various places on the tour, etc. Appeared. It was a video work tailored to a road movie like traveling the world with Paul. Currently, it is officially made into a DVD as a bonus for the super deluxe edition of the live album “WINGS OVER AMERICA”, but the situation is a little high because of the expensive box of around 20,000 yen.
This work is a DVD version of such “WINGS OVER THE WORLD”, but of course it is not a copy of the official product. This is a broadcast professional shot that includes a Japanese special program featuring a masterpiece movie. At our shop, we have introduced a gift board with a similar concept, but this work is different. The gift board was the 1979 “Young Music Show” version that was first aired, but this work is the 2013 version that has passed through the ages. Paul This is the “World Premium Live” version that was aired by a certain broadcasting association on “August 18, 2013”, about three months before “OUT THERE! JAPAN TOUR”, which was the first time in 11 years.
It will be a rebroadcast version 34 years after the first broadcast, but the contents are completely different. First of all, the quality is simple. After all, 2013 is an era when even terrestrial broadcasting has been digitized. The quality of the broadcast and recording is completely official. And what is more than that is the content itself. The original “WINGS OVER THE WORLD” has 73 minutes, but at the 1979 “Young Music Show”, it was cut along the broadcast frame of about 1 hour. I was stuffing it forcibly. Moreover, during the program, telops such as “The news will be announced from 5:15,” The bright rural areas will be closed. Please understand. “There was no respect as a video work. On the other hand, the 2013 broadcast has a deep understanding and respect for “vintage rock cultural history”, and it takes a long broadcast frame and broadcasts the full version of 73 minutes uncut. Video clips and commentary corners have been added to the time adjustment, and Japanese subtitles unique to the program are also included. The utmost respect is given to Paul and “WINGS OVER THE WORLD” by “+ α” instead of shaving. [Unique color of the program that drifts to elegance] Moreover, its unique color feels very good. The commentary is narrated by familiar Chris Pep *, who talks about the background of “WINGS OVER THE WORLD TOUR” and Paul at the time of 2013 in that deep voice (I often mention coming to Japan). And the Japanese subtitles are accurate and poor. It’s not a stupid translation just because it’s rock like in the 70’s, and it’s not a confusing literal translation. Seriously at a serious rehearsal, and humorously at that laughter press conference, it conveys the mood of the scene. This movie demands not only performance scenes but also document scenes in between. The whole story does not break the mood and has the elegance of a historical document.
The main story alone is full, but the clips of the last three songs “Ebony & Ivory”, “Pipe Of Peace”, and “My Valentine” are also delicious. Of course, the clip itself is familiar, but with Mr. Peller’s navigation, the quality is superb. Especially in “My Valentine”, the making scene of the clip is also broadcast. Japanese subtitles are firmly attached to Paul’s words, which teach Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp.
“WINGS OVER THE WORLD”, a masterpiece of a music road movie that can travel around the world with Paul. It is a DVD that you can enjoy the perfect form with the highest quality. A masterpiece of Japanese broadcasting whose small original production raises the sense of work. Please enjoy it carefully.
