It is the same also in this work. However, instead of scanning the LP box jacket, it is a newly created design based on the same picture. First of all, since the photograph of the LP box is a black and white crushed photograph like the Xerox copy at the time, since this work is made from the photograph properly, attention is paid to the fact that the same photograph is clear . While the photographs of the LP box pass from the face through the neck through the neck to the chest, the photographs of this work are the same black-and-white photographs but shading remains, and the texture is more vivid. 初日6月21日は今回初登場となる音源である。 残念ながら音質には恵まれておらず、こもった音質ではある。音質評価で言えば「梅」であろう。 しかし、けしてステージから距離がある感じではないし、演奏自体はしっかり捉えられている。 あえて言うなら、ステージ近くの席でバッグの中にレコーダーを入れて録音したかのような印象を受ける。 いずれにせよ貴重な初登場音源、そして完全収録、それもロサンゼルス連続公演の初日ということで、記録としても重要なコンサートである。

二日目6月22日は、以前『WINGS FOR THE WINGS』というタイトルでリリースされていたものの、 いくぶん早かったピッチをプラマイゼロに調整したリマスター収録である。 また「幸せのアンサー」で音量レベルが上下する箇所も補正されている。最終日があまりに有名なだけに、この日は軽視されがちであるが、音質はすこぶる良く、 1976年ツアー音源の中でもかなり上位に入るものである。音質評価で言えば「竹」であろう。 「夢の人」と「愛の証」のイントロが欠落しており、それは同日の別ソースで補完することにより完全収録となっている。

内容とは関係ないが、フロントのジャケットにも注目して欲しい。 『WINGS FROM THE WINGS』と銘打たれたタイトルはCD時代になっても数多くリリースされてきたが、いずれもジャケットは、LPボックスがあまりに有名なため、同じデザインを流用していた。 しかし、ポールの写真が1972年のものであることや、曲目表示がLPのものとなっているなど、不自然な点は多々あり、それでもオリジナルに敬意を表し踏襲されていた。 それは本作も同じである。しかしLPボックスのジャケットをスキャンしたのではなく、同じ写真を元に新たに作られたデザインなのである。 その違いは本作スリップ・ケースの写真と、中のプラケースに使用されているLPボックス流用の写真とを見比べてみて欲しい。

まずLPボックスの写真は当時のゼロックス・コピーのような白黒の潰れた写真であるのに対し、本作はきちんと写真から作られているので、 同じ写真でも鮮明なものである点に注目である。LPボックスの写真が顔から首筋を通って胸元まで真っ白なのに対し、本作の写真は同じ白黒写真でありながら濃淡が残っており、 より質感が浮かぶ鮮明さである。 またトリミングに関しても、LPボックスでは切れていた部分が広く残っている。わかりやすい部分で言えば、ポールの頭頂部、そしてマイクスタンド、左端などである。下部も切れずに残っている。

ウイングス最初で最後のワールド・ツアー、そして10年ぶりの全米ツアー、その集大成、象徴とも言うべき最終公演地ロサンゼルスにおける3連続公演を、3公演完全収録。 ツアーの成功を確信したポールが、余裕をもって臨んだロスにおける連続公演は、3公演通して聴いてこそ意味があるというもの。 既に40年以上経過した今も、この時のウイングスのパフォーマンスは現代の耳で聴いても凄まじく素晴らしい。まさにビートルズ解散後のポールの最初の到達点であった。 美しいピクチャー・ディスク仕様の永久保存がっちりプレス盤。スリップケース付。
