アメリカン・ツアーは1976年5月3日フォートワースが初日であるが、ジミーの指の怪我がなければ当初4月から始まる予定であった。ウイングスが1975年の最後にステージに立ったのは11月14日メルボルンである。これでは約5か月ものブランクが空くことになる。万全を期するために演奏勘を取り戻す意図もあったのであろう、渡米直前の3月に、わずか5公演のみのミニ・ツアーを行なったのである。それが以下の日程である。

日付を見てわかる通り、まさにアメリカン・ツアー直前であり、バンドの演奏を暖めるべくわずか1週間で5公演という過密なスケジュールでツアーを行なったのである。本作はこのミニ・ツアーより、3月21日コペンハーゲン公演と続く3月23日ベルリン公演の2公演を収録している。アメリカン・ツアーが豊富に音源が音盤化されているのに対し、このミニ欧州ツアーは既発盤こそあるもののタイトル数は少ない。しかし内容的にも非常に珍しく興味深いものであり、アメリカン・ツアーとは異なるステージはファンとしては見逃せない内容となっている。

おそらく本作を手にとるマニアは1975年のタイトルをいくつか所有しているであろう。1975年にツアーが始まった時点では『SPEED OF SOUND』が未リリースであり、セットリストに「心のラブソング」や「愛の証」など、後にハイライトとなる楽曲が含まれておらず、「Little Woman Love」と「C Moon」のメドレー、さらに「Soily」がステージ途中に演奏されるなど、まだステージ構成が手探りな状態であった事が知られている。それはオーストラリアでも変わらず、シングル「Junior’s Farm」が後半に演奏されたりと、最も効果的なセットリストと曲順を模索していたかのようである。『SPEED OF SOUND』がリリースされたのが1976年3月である。通常であらば1975年で経験値を積みそのままアメリカに乗り込むところであろうが、ダメ押し的に渡米前にニューアルバムをリリースするところ、いかにポールがこのアメリカン・ツアーにかけていたかが伺える。

『SPEED OF SOUND』からは「幸せのノック」「心のラブソング」というヒット曲が生まれ、デニー・レインがステージで毎回歌う事になる「やすらぎの時」も収録されている。当然ニューアルバムの曲をセットリストに組み込み、ステージで演奏することでアルバム・セールスとの相乗効果を目論んだ事は想像に難くない。しかしリリースされたばかりの『SPEED OF SOUND』収録曲は前年のツアーで一度も演奏していない。そこで1975年のセットリストに『SPEED OF SOUND』を加えた新たな構成にし、5カ月のブランクを埋めるべくのみならず、渡米前の最終確認の意味でも、このミニ・ツアーが組まれたのである。実際に見てもらえればわかる通り、セットリストは1975年から大幅に変更になっている。 『SPEED OF SOUND』の楽曲が初めてステージで演奏されたのはもちろんのこと、特に注目すべきは「あの娘におせっかい」がアンコール直前で演奏されている点である。ポールがピアノに座って演奏するため、後のアメリカでは「My Love」などと並んで演奏されていたのだが、ここではベースで歌う「ワインカラーの少女」の後に再度ピアノに移り「あの娘におせっかい」を演奏するという変則的なものとなっている。ヒット曲だけに会場の盛り上がりを期待してこの位置で演奏されたのだろう。

改めて1975年から1976年の日程、そしてセットリストを見ると、ポールの恐ろしいまでのアメリカでの成功に対する意気込みを感じさせられる。1975年から始まるワールド・ツアーの頂点（アメリカ）に向かって壮大な助走期間を設け英国と欧州をまわった。さらにダメ押しでニューアルバムを発表。セットリストに新たに加えてミニ・ツアーで初披露し、それをアメリカン・ツアーのハイライトに持ってくる。ビートルズが初めて渡米する直前に「抱きしめたい」がナンバー1ヒットになったように、あたかもウイングスのツアーに合わせるかのように『SPEED OF SOUND』からヒット・シングルが生まれ、ポールの才能は運をも引き寄せているかのようだ。このようにセットリストに熟考を重ねた結果が、あのアメリカン・ツアーの高度に洗練されたステージなのである。本作は渡米直前のミニ欧州ツアーより、コペンハーゲンとベルリンの2公演を収録したタイトルである。美しいピクチャー・ディスク仕様の永久保存がっちりプレス盤。日本語帯付。
