　この来日公演に関しては2002年当時でも既に高音質な音源やタイトルが居並んでいたものですが、それらがCD-Rでのリリースであったこと、何よりも2002年という時代風潮を反映したイコライズが施されていたのは事実でしょう。単にオンな音像の優良アイテムであればこのツアーでは珍しくありません。しかしそういったイコライズ感が時として生み出す「ドンシャリ」な質感が今となっては時代を感じさせてしまいます。その点今回の音源は元の録音状態が極上ですので、過剰なイコライズで原音のイメージを変えることなく、今の耳で聴いてみても抜群の鮮度を誇る音源をCD化しています。
　それに何しろ十年以上前のツアーです、今回や昨年のポールのステージとはまったく違う構成、同じバンドを従えながらもやはり違ったグルーブ感などは本当に面白いものがあります。ビートルズのレア・ナンバーをライブで演奏するパターンの走りとなった「Getting Better」、さらに日本公演の頃にレギュラーとなっていた「She’s Leaving Home」といった「SERGENT PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND」収録曲の演奏には今をもって驚かされるばかり。現在も「Mr. Kite」などが同じアルバムから演奏されていますが、正にその先駆けと言える選曲でした。「You Never Give Me Your Money – Carry That Weight」がポールの弾き語りで演奏されるというのも今となってはレアな場面でしょう。それでいて「The Long And Winding Road」アンコールがアンコール一曲目というのも変わっています。
　そして演奏曲の面白さだけでなく、随所で盛り込まれた「バンドメンバーMCコーナー」も今となっては懐かしさがいっぱいです。中でもエイブの「ロックするぞー！」、ブライアンの「手を挙げろ！」といった日本語のMCは面白く、今とは違ったステージの雰囲気が伝わってくる場面でした。このツアーは現在全公演をまとめたセットがリリースされていましたが、それらにまったく引けをとらない極上音質であることはもちろん「ポールで全公演集めるほどではないが、あの時の公演から一枚持っておきたい」という方に自信を持って進められる新音源が限定のプレスCDで登場です！
