It is the emergence of nostale sounds about 12 years ago! On June 13, 2007, after the release of “Memory Almost Full” New York recorded a secret concert made at the Highline · Ballroom complete with a high-quality audience recording. It is recorded with a lively sound full of presence, you can experience the atmosphere in the venue on the day in real. In the warm atmosphere unique to the small venue, the concert on this day was done is full listening place. The opening is Drive My Car, and it skips from the beginning with the best performance not to feel a blank for more than a year. Only Mama Knows played on the 2nd song was a hard and exciting performance on the album, but with a groove sound full of bands it can be said that being played as a hard rock number is wonderful. Regarding the past repertoire, I did not have any songs that appeared first in the live but I’ll Follow The Sun, Calico Skies and other songs are awesome. It is a recommended piece that you can enjoy Paul ‘s first stage in 2007 which is amazingly emotional, energetic and powerful, even with listening to it now in 2019 with ideal high sound quality.
12年程前の懐かしの音源の登場です！2007年6月13日、「Memory Almost Full」リリース後にニューヨークはハイライン・ボールルームで行わせたシークレット・コンサートを高音質オーディエンス録音にて完全収録。臨場感溢れる生々しいサウンドで収録されており、当日の会場内の雰囲気をリアルに体感することができます。小規模会場ならではのウォームな雰囲気の中、行われたこの日のコンサートは聴き所満点です。オープニングはDrive My Carで、一年以上のブランクを感じさせない絶好調な演奏で最初から飛ばしてくれます。2曲目に演奏されたOnly Mama Knowsは、アルバムでもハードでドライヴ感溢れる演奏でしたが、グルーブ感溢れるバンドサウンドにより、ハードなロックナンバーとして演奏されているのが素晴らしいと言えるでしょう。過去のレパートリーに関しては、ライヴ初登場の曲はなかったのですがI’ll Follow The Sun、Calico Skiesといった選曲は嬉しいところ。2019年の今聴き直しても、驚くほどエモーショナルかつエネルギッシュ、そしてパワフルなステージを展開するポールの2007年の最初のステージを理想的な高音質で堪能出来るお薦めの一枚です。
