The best collection “TREASURE TROVES” series, which carefully selected sound checks and rehearsal sound sources from many live tours that Paul McCartney has done so far, is now available on the DAP label! It is quite familiar to release the sound check as a show prior to the concert, but the performance that can be said to be a shoulder break-in before the performance is sometimes a whimsical jam, a rare number other than the set list standard song, or an unreleased song. There is unexpected fun and I am not exhausted. Paul himself once announced in an interview that he had a plan to release a compilation of unreleased sound check “treasure” sound sources as an album, but it has not been realized yet at this time. Except for the official release of only a small part of these sound sources, limited TV broadcasts, public sound sources on the radio series “OOBU JOOBU”, etc., and some sound board sound sources and IEM interception sound sources are leaked for each tour. The fourth edition of the series, “Marvelous”, includes sound checks from 1990 to 2002 to 2005 around the world tour, as well as sound checks from the 2015 Budokan in 2017 and 2018 in Japan. From the rehearsal of “Hello Goodbye” to the rare sound check in Mexico and Ecuador, the acoustic version shown on the backstage of “NEW”, and the jam performance where the ad-lib unique to the sound check is developed. As before, various sound sources are carefully selected, such as the Beatles number, interesting unreleased songs, and the familiar rock’n’roll cover, which have different performances depending on the age. The latest series that collectors are paying attention to as a compilation of “treasure” sound sources with attractive performances that are different from usual. ポール・マッカートニーがこれまで行ってきた数多くのライブ・ツアーからのサウンドチェックやリハーサル音源を厳選したベスト・コレクション”TREASURE TROVES”シリーズがDAPレーベルより登場！コンサートに先駆けてサウンドチェックをショウとして限定公開するのもすっかりお馴染みですが本番前の肩慣らしといえる演奏は時に気まぐれのジャムであったりセットリスト定番曲以外のレア・ナンバーや未発表曲であったりと想定外の面白さがあり興味が尽きません。ポール自身もいずれ未発表のサウンドチェック”お宝”音源をまとめたコンピレーションをアルバムとしてリリースする企画もあるとインタビューで公言したこともありましたが現時点ではまだ実現されていません。こうした音源はこれまでごく一部が公式リリースされた以外は限定的なTV放送やラジオ・シリーズ”OOBU JOOBU”等での公開音源さらにツアーごとに幾つかのサウンドボード音源やIEM傍受音源がリークされてきました。８９年ワールド・ツアー以降これまでほぼすべてのライブ回数に匹敵する膨大な音源の中から放送音源やサウンドボード音源を中心にその時ならではの演奏曲や未発表曲さらに一度しか演奏していないレア・ナンバーをあえて時系列ではなく年代別の比較や注目曲をトラックリストからピックアップする楽しみも含めランダムに収録。シリーズ第４弾となる『マーヴェラス』編では９０年から２００２年～２００５年のワールド・ツアー各地でのサウンドチェックはじめ２０１５年武道館から２０１７年、２０１８年日本公演でのサウンドチェックを収録。「ハロー・グッバイ」のリハーサルからメキシコやエクアドルでの珍しいサウンドチェック、「NEW」のバックステージで披露されたアコースティック・バージョンさらにサウンドチェックならではのその場限りのアドリブが展開されるジャム演奏等、今回もこれまで同様ビートルズ・ナンバーはもちろん興味深い未発表曲やお馴染みのロックンロール・カバーも年代によって演奏の違いがあったりと様々な音源が厳選されています。いつもと違う演奏が魅力の”お宝”音源の集大成としてコレクター注目の最新シリーズ。海外直輸入オリジナル・プレス盤でお届けするDAPレーベルからの最新コレクターズ・エディション第４弾の登場です！
