“BAND ON THE RUN” is Paul’s fifth album after the Beatles disbanded, and the third under the name of Wings. A rock masterpiece that shined first in both the UK and the US and was a huge hit. In the UK, more than half a year after its release, it won first place for seven consecutive weeks from the end of July 1974, and recorded a long hit ranked in the top 10 for a total of 46 weeks. Billboard magazine in the US intermittently won the 1st place for 4 weeks, ranked in the top 10 for 32 weeks, 3rd place in the 1974 annual ranking, and CASHBOX magazine intermittently won the 1st place for 4 weeks. Recorded the second place in the annual ranking in 1974. It has sold more than 3 million copies in the United States alone. After the dissolution of THE BEATLES, PAUL McCARTNEY is the most successful album.

A nice 3-disc set with an endless collection of official tracks related to “Band on the Run”. Includes a stereo downmix version of DTS-CD 5.1 channel, an ONE HAND CRAPPING version, a version of the promo single only released in 1974, live tracks, rehearsal sound sources, etc. Of course, the best sound board sound quality for all tracks.
The ultimate arcade series is in the process of being a big hit.

BAND ON THE RUN』はビートルズ解散後のポールのアルバムとしては5作目、Wings名義としては3作目。全英、全米とも1位に輝き、大ヒットを記録したロック名盤。イギリスではリリースから半年以上経過した1974年の7月末から7週連続第1位を獲得し、トップ10内に計46週間もランクされるロング・ヒットを記録。USのBillboard誌では断続的に4週間第1位を獲得し、トップ10内に32週間ランクされ、1974年度年間ランキング第3位、CASHBOX誌でも、断続的に4週間第1位を獲得し、1974年度年間ランキング第2位を記録した。アメリカだけで300万枚以上のセールスも記録している。THE BEATLES解散後、PAUL McCARTNEYが最も成功したアルバムである。
