Nowadays, the related sound sources and unreleased sound sources of “Ram”, which is positioned as a masterpiece that competes for 1 or 2 among Paul’s solos, are covered together, and the contents are exactly suitable for 50TH anniversary !!
DISC1 is a MONO board that is said to have been pressed only for radio stations at that time !! The MONO mix of this album has a long ending and a large bass, so you can enjoy the difference that you can clearly see in some songs from STEREO. .. Following the MONO version, songs not included in the album will be recorded from the “Ram” recording session !! Single “Another Day” and its B side “Oh Woman, Oh Why”, “WILD LIFE” period B side “Little Woman Love” , 4 songs of “Get On The Right Thing” recorded in the album “RED ROSE SPEEDWAY” are recorded. From here, related sound sources such as demo sound sources and session sound sources are recorded in chronological order. First of all, the home demo sound source of “Dear Friend” and “1882”. “Dear Friend” is a song released in “WILD LIFE”, but it is recorded according to the information that it was recorded in 1970 before the recording of “Ram”. DISC1は当時ラジオ局向けにだけプレスされたと言われるMONO盤!! このアルバムのMONOミックスはエンディングが長かったり、ベースが大きめだったりと、STEREOとはいくつかの曲ではっきりとわかる違いが楽しめます。 MONO盤に続いては『Ram』レコーディングセッションよりアルバム未収録曲を収録!! シングル「Another Day」とそのB面「Oh Woman, Oh Why」、『WILD LIFE』期のB面「Little Woman Love」、アルバム『RED ROSE SPEEDWAY』に収録された「Get On The Right Thing」の4曲が収録。 ここからデモ音源、セッション音源など関連音源が時系列順に収録。まずは「Dear Friend」「1882」のホーム・デモ音源。「Dear Friend」は『WILD LIFE』で発表される楽曲ですが、『Ram』のレコーディング前1970年レコーディングとの情報により収録されています。DISC2では未発表曲を含む、『Ram』のレコーディング・セッション中のラフ・ミックス6曲。「Rode All Night」は8分を超えるナンバーでジャム・セッションさながらのワイルドさで、ポールのギターシャウトとデニー・シーウェルのドラムは圧巻！あとは基本的に全てインスト状態ですが、ポールのガイド用の歌声が聞こえる曲もあり、みんなで唄おう「The Back Seat of My Car」!!! 「Brung To Ewe By」はラジオでのオンエアを目的とした『Ram』プロモーションPR音源が15種類収録されたApple製作のプロモLP。レコーディングはセッション中ではないものの、関連音源として収録。ここに収録されている「Now Here This」と呼ばれている曲はここでしか聴くことが出来ません。最後のラフ・ミックスセクションではインストが収録されていた「A Love For You」「Hey Diddle」の様々なリミックス収録。70年代～80年代半ばまで『WINGS GREATEST』のプロジェクトが当所『HOT HITS-COLD CUTS』というベスト＆未発表曲集だった頃より何度も作業が行なわれていました。その他、ちょっとしたシークレット・トラックも収録されています。こうして聴いてみると、まだセッションの全貌を把握することは出来ませんが、セッション・ギタリストのデヴィッド・スピノザとヒュー・マクラッケンを起用しているほか、ドラマーとして後にWINGSを結成することになるデニー・シーウェルなど外部ミュージシャンを採用し、ニューヨーク・フィルハーモニックによるオーケストラをフィーチャーするなど、ポール自身、本腰を入れてアルバムを制作し、プロモーション用に『Brung To Ewe By』も用意するほどの意欲作だったことが感じられます。
