Pat Travers in 1976, who made his debut with “PAT TRAVERS”. The legendary original recording that conveys the stage that became his name in the British scene is reprinted.
――The performance of the Reading Festival on August 28, 1976 is included in this work. It is the audience recording. As usual, I would like to introduce the tour schedule here, but Pat’s record at that time was scarce, and although it is 4 months since the release of the debut work, I can not find any records other than Reading. The small amount of information paradoxically tells how the people of Pat at that time knew. Anyway, Pat broke such a situation at the famous English music festival “Reading Festival”. It was held for three days from August 27th to 29th, but Pat stood on the stage as 4th place on the middle day where 11 pairs appeared.
This work is an audience recording that vacuum packed such a scene, but the person who recorded it was Japanese. The staff of the record company at that time went to the UK and circulated the tape for the material. In our shop, we discover many original masters. We have introduced valuable collections such as Rory Gallagher (Uxbridge 633), GONG (Virtuoso 302), COLOSSEUM II (Amity 459), CAMEL (Amity 450). Since this person is not a trader, the recording was not known at all, and every time it was released, “there was such a record!” This work is edited by Pat Traverse, a recording collection of those involved.
Actually, the sound is excellent. Although it is only in the category of vintage audience, the master freshness without any trade is the ultimate, and there is no dubbing mark while winning. It is as if the atmosphere in the UK 44 years ago came out when the field was directly connected to the speaker. Moreover, the core that is on is powerful. This is probably a recording made by the people involved. It’s a person’s seat that can be heard clearly even in open reading fields and poor 70’s PA, so it is a luxurious sound that you can use without hiding the microphone or deck there.
The show drawn with that sound was a show that opened up fate. As mentioned earlier, the days are high, and the time spent is not long. There, he plays to pick out a number selected from the songs he had at the time. Here, let’s organize the contents.

● PAT TRAVERS (3 songs)
・ Stop And Smile / Magnolia / Medley, Parts 1 & 2
● MAKIN ‘MAGIC (4 songs)
・ Makin ‘Magic / You Don’t Love Me / Rock And Roll Susie / Statesboro Blues

…… And thus, the initial two concentrated and reduced. 60 minutes It is as short as about 31 minutes because it is recorded on one side of the cassette, and it is unknown whether this is full. In the record called the set list of this day, there are not around “Makin ‘Magic”, “Magnolia”, “Medley, Parts 1 & 2” that can be heard in this work. It’s an ambiguity like 70’s, but this work is the proof of sound.
And the performance is hot. This festival was performed by Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore (COLOSSEUM II), but it’s great because Pat hasn’t lost. The groove of the trio formation pulls the audience steadily and overwhelms them. Especially “Statesboro Blues” from the 2nd album which has not been released yet is a masterpiece. The modern, heavy blues are dripping, and the reality that the British rock guy who saw him for the first time is overwhelming is also great.
As mentioned above, it has not been made into a press because it is about 30 minutes short, but it is a live album that is both permanent and valuable. The scent of the smelling era. Please inhale your heart with this work.

★ A rare masterpiece live album using original sound sources. Great sound quality and performance. It will be decided again with a new jacket!

『PAT TRAVERS』

●PAT TRAVERS(3曲)
・Stop And Smile/Magnolia/Medley, Parts 1 & 2
●MAKIN’ MAGIC(4曲)
・Makin’ Magic/You Don’t Love Me/Rock And Roll Susie/Statesboro Blues
