[Complete version of the super famous sound board]This work is the ultimate live album. Its true identity is the superb stereo sound board of “April 1, 1986 Kansas City performance”. It’s the complete board. This show is the most famous in the Jake era. In addition to being broadcast on the radio on the famous program “KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR”, it is also a concert that became his official video work “THE ULTIMATE OZZY”. However, the FBFH broadcast was an excerpt of about 50 minutes, and the official video was halfway mixed with PV of “Shot In The Dark”, “Lightning Strikes” and “The Ultimate Sin” (partly “Bark At The Moon”). PV was also used). After that, both the long version and the excavated version of KBFH were excavated, but there is still no “Secret Loser” or drum solo. While boasting the No. 1 quality and performance even in the Jake era, the ultimate form did not exist in a regrettable place.
This work was born to heal such a long-standing dryness. Based on KBFH’s pre-broadcast master, which is the longest and highest quality of many formats, the missing “Secret Loser” and drum solo are complemented by the official stereo sound board of “THE ULTIMATE OZZY”. Finally, the ultimate superb soundboard album that allows you to enjoy the complete full show is born.
In fact, the quality of this work is the ultimate. As you can see from the fact that the official sound board is used as a complement rather than a base, the pre-FM master that occupies most of it is a perfect official class. Even before the broadcast, it is not an analog broadcast master, but a digital master that has appeared in recent years. There is no DJ on the master of the broadcast, and there is no deterioration. Of course, we also performed the latest mastering for matching with the official sound board, and even subtle sound nuances are aligned with the official.
The complete version of Kansas City alone is the ultimate, but this work has achieved even higher heights. As a bonus, we also added another super-best sound board of another big standard sound board “August 16, 1986 Donington performance”. As a matter of fact, there are only two soundboards in the “Sin and Punishment” era, the main Kansas City performance and the Donington performance. This work is one that can complete the highest peak version in history at once.
This sound board is also a big classic among the big classics. There are many existing ones, but this work is the highest peak. It is based on an unused broadcast master, and has been further refined by meticulous mastering. The original sound was quite wild, but in this work it was adjusted to a neat sound close to the main Kansas City SBD. Not only is it easier to listen to, but it also has a unified finish even if you listen to it through the main story, which is a completely official standard.

This is the outline of the last world tour in the Jake era. The main Kansas City performance is the third performance of “North America # 1” that took place immediately after the release of “Sin and Punishment”. It’s quite early, but the point is that the “UK” tour was held before that. While the ensemble is well done, I don’t get tired of putting in one break. Moreover, “Sin and Punishment” is in the top 10 in the United States for Ozzy since “PARANOID”. His solo activities, which had been on the rise, are enthusiastic about winning the US title (although it was “NO MORE TEARS” that actually reached its peak). And because it’s the beginning of the tour, Ozzy is in great shape. The bonus Donington performance feels rough, but the main story Kansas City is not dangerous and the voice grows beautifully. Run through the full show with a wonderful (too much?) Singing voice.
Of course, the other protagonist, Jake, is also in great shape. Until “BARK AT THE MOON Tour”, the bold interpretation of Randy Rhoad’s song was the highlight, and the pole position was “I Don’t Know”, but this tour opened “Bark At The Moon”, which should be the original. The official PVs “Shot In The Dark” and “The Ultimate Sin” are also live performances, and there are plenty of limited songs only for this tour. So far, the new songs have been featured only at the time of their debut and “THE ULTIMATE SIN Tour”. And Jake’s technique, which became a music director completely from a mere guitarist, is sharp, and the groove of the late Randy Castillo, who was loved by MOTLEY CRUE, is also mellow. You can enjoy the ultimate form of “THE ULTIMATE SIN Tour”, which was the most brilliant and sharp in Ozzy’s career, with complete official quality.
Iommi, a friend of the same town, Randy, a fateful ally, and his longtime comrade Zack … Ozzy’s companions are these three. However, it was Jake E. Lee who was shining brighter than anyone, unlike the three. The “Jake era”, which is different from any other era, the 1980s when Ozzy swept the world. The ultimate live album at the top. 【超有名サウンドボードを究めた完全版】
本作はまさしく究極のライヴアルバム。その正体は「1986年４月１日カンザスシティ公演」の超極上ステレオ・サウンドボード。その完全盤なのです。このショウはジェイク時代でもっとも有名。名物番組“KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR”でラジオ放送された他、オフィシャルの映像作品『THE ULTIMATE OZZY』ともなったコンサートです。しかし、FBFH放送は約50分の抜粋でしたし、オフィシャル映像は「Shot In The Dark」「Lightning Strikes」「The Ultimate Sin」のPVを混ぜ込んだ中途半端なもの（一部「Bark At The Moon」のPVも使用されていました）。その後、KBFHの長尺版も発掘版も発掘されたものの、それでも「Secret Loser」やドラムソロがない。ジェイク時代でもNo.1となるクオリティと演奏を誇りつつ、何とも惜しいところで究極形が存在しなかったのです。
そんな長年の乾きを癒すために誕生したのが本作です。数々のフォーマットの中でもっとも長く、最高峰クオリティであるKBFHのプレ放送マスターをベースにしつつ、そこに欠けていた「Secret Loser」とドラムソロを『THE ULTIMATE OZZY』の公式ステレオ・サウンドボードで補完。遂にフルショウ完全形を味わえる究極の超極上サウンドボード・アルバムが誕生したのです。
実際、本作のクオリティは究極。公式サウンドボードが土台ではなく補完に使われている事からもお察しいただけると思いますが、大部分を占めるプレFMマスターは完全無欠のオフィシャル級。放送前とは言ってもアナログの放送原盤起こしではなく、近年になって登場したデジタル・マスター。放送原盤のDJも入っておらず、劣化もゼロ。もちろん、公式サウンドボードとのマッチングのために最新マスタリングも施し、微妙なサウンド・ニュアンスまでオフィシャルと揃えました。
【『罪と罰』SBDをコンプリートできるボーナス】
そんなカンザス・シティの完全版だけでも究極ですが、本作では更に高みを実現しています。ボーナスとして、もう１つの大定番サウンドボード「1986年８月16日ドニントン公演」の超極上サウンドボードも追加収録したのです。実のところ、『罪と罰』時代のサウンドボードと言えば、本編カンザス・シティ公演とドニントン公演の２つだけ。本作は、その史上最高峰バージョンを一気にコンプリートできる１本なのです。
このサウンドボードもまた、大定番中の大定番。数々の既発が存在しておりますが、本作はその最高峰。未使用の放送原盤を元としており、さらに細心マスタリングで磨き込まれている。原音ではかなりワイルドなサウンドだったのですが、本作では本編カンザス・シティSBDに近い端正なサウンドに調整。一層聴きやすくなっているだけでなく、完全オフィシャル基準な本編と通して聴いても統一感のある仕上がりになってます。
【究極クオリティに相応しい究極のショウ】
そんなクオリティで描かれるのは、オジーのキャリアでも独特の輝きを放ったジェイク時代の頂点。良い機会ですので、“THE ULTIMATE SIN Tour”の全体像からポジションを確認しておきましょう。

これがジェイク時代最後のワールドツアー概要。メインのカンザス・シティ公演は『罪と罰』発売直後に行われた「北米#1」３公演目にあたります。かなり初期ではありますが、その前に「英国」ツアーが行われているのがポイント。しっかりとアンサンブルがこなれつつ、ワンブレイク入れて疲れもない。しかも、『罪と罰』はオジーにとって『PARANOID』以来となる全米トップ10入り。右肩上がりだったソロ活動も頂点を迎えようという全米制覇への意欲に燃えているのです（実際にピークを迎えたのは『NO MORE TEARS』でしたが）。そして、ツアー初期だからこそオジーも絶好調。ボーナスのドニントン公演では荒さも感じますが、本編カンザス・シティは危なげなく声も綺麗に伸びる。素晴らしい（すぎる？）歌声でフルショウを駆け抜けるのです。
もちろん、もう１人の主役ジェイクも絶好調。“BARK AT THE MOON Tour”まではランディ・ローズ曲の大胆な解釈が聴きどころでポールポジションも「I Don’t Know」でしたが、このツアーでは本来あるべき「Bark At The Moon」がオープニング。しかも、『罪と罰』の新曲も大量投入されているのです。ここでその内容も整理しておきましょう。

……と、このようになっています。オジーのライヴは定番曲が多めで新曲は限られているのが常ですが、“THE ULTIMATE SIN Tour”は例外。オフィシャルではPVだった「Shot In The Dark」「The Ultimate Sin」も本生ライヴですし、このツアーだけの限定曲もたっぷり。ここまで新曲をフィーチュアしたのは、デビュー時と“THE ULTIMATE SIN Tour”だけです。そして、単なるギタリストから完全に音楽監督となったジェイクの技はキレにキレ、MOTLEY CRUEにも愛された故ランディ・カスティロのグルーヴも芳醇。オジーのキャリアでも最も華麗でシャープだった“THE ULTIMATE SIN Tour”の究極形が完全オフィシャル・クオリティで味わえるのです。
同郷の知己アイオミ、運命の盟友ランディ、長年の同志ザック……オジーの相棒と言えばこの３人が挙がります。しかし、その３人とまったく違いながら、誰よりも眩しく輝いていたのはジェイク・Ｅ・リーでした。他のどの時代とも違う“ジェイク時代”、オジーが世界を席巻した80年代。その頂点となる究極のライヴアルバム。新アートワークの2ndプレスでここに堂々の復刻です！
