グラストンベリー・フェスティバルから幕を開けて名演連発だった1995年夏のオアシス。掛け値なしに栄光に溢れた時期であり、先のフェスでの模様はDVD-R「GLASTONBURY 1995: JAPANESE BROADCAST」、さらにはREMの前座を務めた模様を極上オーディエンスにて捉えた「SLANE CASTLE 1995 DAT MASTER」が好評発売中です。
ところが、他の公演のマテリアルやアイテムになると意外なほど少ない時期でもあるというのも事実。実際グラストンベリーが定番すぎて「SLANE CASTLE～」がリリースされるまでは、その他の音源が過去にリリースされていても現在は入手困難という状況ですらあった。
そんな時期の隠れたレア映像が7月8日のフランスはベルフォート公演。この日は「EUROKENNES FESTIVAL」と題されたフェスに出演。そもそもグラストンベリーから約一週間後のステージが悪いはずもありません。
この模様は当時ヨーロッパのMTVから三曲だけ放送されていたのですが、「Acquiesce」以外の二曲は演奏がエンディングに向かうとフェイドアウトしてしまう演出が災いしてオアシスの映像コンピに収録されるのはおろか、サウンドボードの音声が音盤化すらされないという完全に見過ごされた絶頂期ライブ映像だったのです。

とはいえたった三曲ながらもこの日の映像のインパクトは非常に大きい。というのもリアムがユニオンジャックを体に巻いた上にサングラスをかけてステージに上がっており、ルックス面においてはまだまだ垢抜けなかった（苦笑）95年夏のオアシスを捉えたライブ映像の中でも飛びぬけて鮮烈な印象を見る者に与えるから。
そんなリアムのライブビデオ映えだけでなく「Acquiesce」のエンディングではノエルがストーン・ローゼズ「Sally Cinnamon」のリフを弾いて終えるなど、10分足らずの映像ながらも見応え、聞き応えは十分。
一応、テレビで放送されたことからYouTube上でも見られるのですが、そこでは圧縮されて画質が大幅に劣化しているというもの。それと見比べれば歴然としていますが、画質は本ギフトの圧勝。
