The single “Blue Monday” and the album “POWER, CORRUPTION & LIES” rushed to the UK charts, and the 1983 NEW ORDER was on fire. A pro-shot video that can be witnessed at that time is a gift release decision.
This film was filmed “Minneapolis Performance on June 29, 1983”. This is a multi-camera pro shot. As mentioned earlier, they were in the middle of a breakthrough. First, let’s check the position of the show from the schedule at that time.

・ January 26 + 29: UK # 1 (2 performances)
・ February 25 + 26: Sweden (2 performances)
“March 7 single” Blue Monday “released”
-March 11-24: UK # 2 (4 performances)
・ April 11-26: UK # 3 (9 performances)
[May 2, “POWER, CORRUPTION & LIES” released] ・ May 9th + 10th: UK # 4 (2 performances)
・ June 17-July 9: North America (14 performances) ← ★ Here ★
・ 20 July + 2 December: UK # 5 (2 performances)

This is the 1983 NEW ORDER. There are many vague points in the records at that time, so the number of performances is not exact, but I think you can understand the general flow. Their main battlefield is until now the home country of England, and expedition to other countries in the meantime. Especially in North America, tours (postponed due to the death of Ian Curtis) were conducted right after its formation, but scaled up with each year. The Minneapolis performance of this work is a concert that corresponds to the middle performance of the “North America” leg.
This work, which recorded such a show, is a pro shot with a great master freshness. As you can see in the captured image on the right, the “official class” is a little darker, but it is still different from the VHS era when it was still dubbed. There is almost no distortion or white line noise, and you can watch it carefully with its beautiful visual beauty. And the show depicted in that quality is a passionate performance of an era when the eyes of the world were about to gather. Let’s organize the set here.

● MOVEMENT (2 songs)
・ Truth, ICB
・ Your Silent Face, Ultraviolence
● Other single songs (6 songs)
・ Procession, In A Lonely Place, Everything’s Gone Green, Temptation, Confusion, Thieves Like Us

… and it looks like this. It is mysterious that there is no “Blue Monday” that ran into the 5th place in the US dance charts, but other than that, the representative songs at that time were varied. Speaking of the initial video, there is also the official “TARAS SHEVCHENKO”, but only 4 songs “Truth” “Procession” “Everything’s Gone Green” “Temptation” are covered. You can enjoy the early repertoire before the leaps of “LOW-LIFE”.
1983 NEW ORDER was realized in 1983 when he achieved a foothold of success with “POWER, CORRUPTION & LIES”, realizing an unsuccessful advance to North America with Ian Curtis. It is a multi-camera pro shot that can witness them in such an era. A valuable video work that allows you to experience a youthful stage only because it is in the early days. Please thoroughly enjoy this opportunity.

・Your Silent Face、Ultraviolence
・Procession、In A Lonely Place、Everything’s Gone Green、Temptation、Confusion、Thieves Like Us
