MOTLEY CRUE in 1984 jumped out to the world with the surplus of US festival appearances. Introducing a new excavation live album set that conveys the scene.
“August 18, 1984 Donington performance” and “September 1, Karlsruhe performance” are included in this work. It is a 2-disc set that sets the best audience recording of 2 performances of “MONSTERS OF ROCK” that has evolved into a festival tour. Some people who hear “1984” and “MONSTERS OF ROCK” remember our masterpieces “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1984 VOL.1 (Shades 770)” and “MONSTERS OF ROCK IN GERMANY 1984 VOL.1 (Non Label)”. As you may have come, this is the latest excavation. Although it is the same performance, it is a completely separate recording that surpasses the existing group.
Before the quality you care about, first of all, the position of the show. At that time, they were in the middle of selling, but it is extremely historical even in the victory of this work. In order to explain its meaning, let’s look back at the panoramic view of “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL Tour”, which has spread to the world.

● 1983
・ March 26-April 3: North America # 1 (6 performances)
・ May 29: US Festival appearance
・ September 3-17: North America # 2 (3 performances)
<< September 26, “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL” released >>
・ October 31st-December 16th: North America # 3 (28 performances) ← * SAN ANTONIO 1983
● 1984
・ January 10-March 24: North America # 4 (52 performances)
・ April 12-June 15: North America # 5 (38 performances)
・ August 18-September 7: Europe # 1 (7 performances) ← ★ This work ★
・ October 15th-November 19th: Europe # 2 (23 performances)

This is the 1983/1984 MOTLEY CRUE. They released “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL”, which became famous at the US festival. The world invasion will start as it is. The main country was the United States, but he moved to Europe in the summer of 1984, “Europe # 1”. This “Europe # 1” is the “MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour”, the Donington performance is the first day, and the Karlsruhe performance is the third performance. In other words, this work is MOTLEY CRUE’s first overseas performance and third live album.
This work recorded in such two performances is a new recording that updates the highest peak ever with the latest excavation as mentioned above. Both performances were recorded by the same person, and Taper himself digitized this new work by Bikabika. It was the first appearance and suddenly it became the ultimate Gene. The biggest point is the fierce clearness and direct feeling. It’s not the type that is mistaken for a sound board in terms of timbre, but since both performances are outdoors, the core with zero echo jumps into the ear like a laser beam. Of course, just because it’s outdoors doesn’t mean that it will be a great recording, and especially in the 1980s, the performance of PA is completely different from that of modern times, so it’s safe to become scared. However, there is no need to worry about this in this work, and you can clearly pick up the sound emitted by the PA and enjoy it clearly up to the baseline. If you compare and express it for those who have an existing group, the Donington performance is close to “MONSTERS OF ROCK 1984 VOL.1”, but this work is slightly better in mid-high range growth. Regarding the Karlsruhe performance, this work is much clearer.
The new master will draw two performances where the passion of the young MOTLEY CRUE who crossed the sea for the first time explodes. In both cases, the early masterpieces are concentrated in a time of around 45 minutes. Since it is the same set, let’s organize it together.

● Brilliant passion (2 songs)
・ Piece Of Your Action / Live Wire
● Shout at the Devil (7 songs + α)
・ Side A: Bastard / Shout At The Devil / Looks That Kill / Helter Skelter
・ Side B: Knock’Em Dead Kid / Ten Seconds To Love (★) / Red Hot (★)
* Note: “★” marks are songs that could not be heard at the “US Festival”.

… And it looks like this. As expected, there is no extremely rare song only for this work in the short set for festivals, but the initial feeling that “Bastard”, “Knock’Em Dead Kid”, “Piece Of Your Action” etc. are released in rapid succession is rich. Of course, they shouldn’t feel tired from the set of less than 50 minutes when they were still in their early twenties, and they sprinted with the explosive tension in front of tens of thousands of people. It’s not a slow marathon or a middle-distance run, but a live album with an exhilarating feeling as if you were watching the 100m dash.
Even so, it seems that such a recording came without being known for 37 years. How many treasures are still asleep on this earth … A new excavation that makes you feel like that. Please come and experience the two historical performances together!

★ Newly excavated audience recordings of “August 18, 1984 Donington performance” and “September 1, Karlsruhe performance”. Both performances have already been performed, but this work is a completely separate recording. The master freshness is tremendous because the taper itself has been digitized and released, and the sound that PA spits out with zero echo is picked up sharply because it is outdoors, and a vivid core like a laser beam jumps into the ear. .. “MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour” is also MOTLEY CRUE’s first overseas performance, and you can experience two performances that sprint without losing their fierce tension.

「1984年」「MONSTERS OF ROCK」と聞いて、当店の大作『MONSTERS OF ROCK 1984 VOL.1(Shades 770)』や『MONSTERS OF ROCK IN GERMANY 1984 VOL.1(Non Label)』を思い出される方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、まったくの最新発掘。

SAN ANTONIO 1983

Piece Of Your Action/Live Wire
・A面:Bastard/Shout At The Devil/Looks That Kill/Helter Skelter
・B面:Knock ‘Em Dead Kid/Ten Seconds To Love(★)/Red Hot(★)
