モトリー２度目の来日である1987年、「Girls, Girls, Girls」に伴うジャパン・ツアーより、武道館３日目にして、日本最終公演である、12月18日のライヴを、聴きやすさ抜群の高音質オーディエンス録音で完全収録したファン必携の一枚です。90年代に「Gold Disc」と言うタイトルでCD化されている音源と同じマスターですが、この既発に比べると、本盤は、イコライズ感の無い、より自然なサウンドで収録されています。また既発はピッチが高めでしたが、本盤は正しい音程で収録されています。ステージからの若干距離を感じるサウンドですが、その分、音に安定感があり、ストレス無く、演奏に聴き入ることができます。既発で感じた高域を中心としてテープの劣化した音の印象は本盤ではありません。既発同様にJailhouse Rockの48秒目でテープチェンジのカットがありますが、この部分は他箇所からパッチしており、本盤は初めてノンカットで聴き切ることができます。若きエナジーに満ち溢れたこの時期の元リーのステージは別格で、演奏の迫力は勿論、高域がグイグイ出てるヴィンスのボーカルには圧倒されます。武道館を埋め尽くした会場の熱気も、そのステージに負けない位にホットで、女性ファンの熱狂ぶりのリアルさは、当時のモトリーの人気の凄まじさを音から感じることが出来ます。今でも主要曲として演奏される最初の4枚からのベストセレクト・ナンバーはどのどれもが燻銀のような輝きを発しており聴き応え満点ですが、何と言っても聴き所は、日本でも披露されたトミーの360度大回転ドラムソロ！「右か？」「左か？」の絶叫と共に、ドラム台が凄まじい効果音と一緒に左右に傾き、「Let’s Go!」の叫びと一緒にドラム台ごと、前・後にかなりのスピードで回転する瞬間の観客のどよめきはリアルそのもの。メインセットの終わりはツェッペリン・カバーRock And Rollのフル演奏。アンコール前には、アルバムセールス7万枚を記念してのゴールド・ディスク授与式がステージ上で行われますが、登場したレコード会社社長が選挙運動みたいな熱烈な口調で「我がパイオニアからゴールド・ディスクを贈呈致したいと思います！」「今日のコンサートの模様は、ビデオに収めまして、全世界に公開されます！」（ノリがバブルですねー）「メンバー一人一人を呼びましょう！まずはボーカルのヴィンス・ニール！」「ギターのミック・マーズ！」「次はギター（？）のニッキー・シックス！」「ドラムス、トミー・リー！」「この興奮を皆様をバックにしてビデオに収めたいと思います！」と叫びまくります。ここまで絶叫しなくてもと思ってしまいますが、観客はそのせいもあってか、大熱狂しています。社長の「どうもありがとう！」の数回の絶叫を蹴散らすようにGirls, Girls, Girlsの冒頭バイクＳＥがかかる部分はなかなか痛快で面白い部分です。この部分だけ、妙に「昭和の日本」ぽいですが、いずれにせよ29年前の貴重な記録。絶頂期・最強期のモトリー・クルーのライヴを、当時の数々の武勇伝を思い出しながら、お楽しみ下さい！
