MOTLEY CRUE of 1983, which became a symbol of LA Metal by showing the existence of LA metal all over the world at “US Festival”. Introducing a superb sound board album that represents such an early stage.
Engraved in this work is “December 1, 1983 San Antonio performance”. It is a super-quality stereo sound board recording. The point of this work is that the official quality is amazing, but beyond that, it is a terrible show only in the early days. As mentioned earlier, 1983 is also the year of the “US Festival”, so let’s look back on that step here.

● 1983
・March 26th-April 3rd: North America #1 (6 performances)
・May 29: Appearance at US Festival
・September 3-17: North America #2 (3 performances)
<<September 26 “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL” release>>
・October 31st-December 16th: North America #3 (28 performances) ←★Coco★
● 1984
・January 10th-March 24th: North America #4 (52 performances)
・April 12-June 15: North America #5 (38 performances)
・August 18-September 7: Europe #1 (7 performances)
・October 15-November 19: Europe #2 (23 performances)

This is the 1983/1984 MOTLEY CRUE. There were some shows before and after “US Festival”, but the full-scale tour was after the release of “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL”. The San Antonio performance of this work was the 16th performance of the opening “North America #3”.
This work recorded at such a show is a super-fresh and superb stereo sound board. Even if you call it a “sound board,” the individuality and quality of the product may vary, but the personality of this work is the so-called “mix desk direct connection system” and the rank is “super A class”. Obviously, the mix for the on-site PA does not care about howling, and the loud cheers are strangely far away. The balance is so rough that the vocals that are overpowered at the start of the performance will be off.
But that’s good. It’s a violent mix in a general sense, but for a sound board enthusiast, this freshness is irresistible. Of course, howling and balance were adjusted in the 1-minute range of the first song “Shout At The Devil”, and after that, the greatness of the straight ball sound board with a strong stereo feeling of pan fully opened. Every kind of sound made by the four people rushed into the brain with bare feet, leaving the skull on the stage. It’s a complete match with the band, which is completely different from the concert experience in the audience. Originally, the audience is one piece that can experience a different dimension of synchronization that you can not taste on the FM sound board or the official version.
The super high-class direct sound is a strange high tension gig unique to the “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL” era. As mentioned above, “US Festival” is a symbol of 1983, but the volume of this work is incomparable. Let’s organize the sets while comparing them here.

● Brilliant passion (4 songs)
・Take Me To The Top/Merry-Go-Round/Piece Of Your Action/Live Wire
●Shout at the Devil (9 songs + α)
・In The Beginning(★)/Shout At The Devil/Bastard/Ten Seconds To Love(★)/Knock’Em Dead, Kid/Too Young To Fall In Love(★)/God Bless The Children Of The Beast(★) /Red Hot (★)/Looks That Kill/Helter Skelter
*Note: The “★” marks are songs that could not be heard at the “US Festival”.

…And this is how it looks. A full show that is almost almost a “live performance version SHOUT AT THE DEVIL”, with “brilliant passion” numbers placed in key areas. In fact, all songs have been played except “Danger”, and “God Bless The Children Of The Beast” “Red Hot” that can not be heard even in the official live work “LIVE: ENTERTAINMENT OR DEATH” pops out. In addition, a lot of repertoire up to this tour, such as “Take Me To The Top”, “Merry-Go-Round”, and “Bastard”, will be bitten.
Anyway, a transcendent sound board that directly hits the brain. It is a historic live album that vacuum packed the early full-blown show with that quality. That’s the same as the official name board “SHOUT AT THE DEVIL”… but it’s the ultimate LA metal version that stands out in a far more transcendental dimension. Why could metal become the main stream in the 80’s, why LA metal and MOTLEY CRUE were at the center of it? A masterpiece of the entire music genre “heavy metal” that speaks louder than a thousand words. Please experience it with the permanent preservation press 2CD!

《9月26日『SHOUT AT THE DEVIL』発売》

Take Me To The Top/Merry-Go-Round/Piece Of Your Action/Live Wire
In The Beginning(★)/Shout At The Devil/Bastard/Ten Seconds To Love(★)/Knock ‘Em Dead, Kid/Too Young To Fall In Love(★)/God Bless The Children Of The Beast(★)/Red Hot(★)/Looks That Kill/Helter Skelter

実に「Danger」以外全曲が演奏されており、公式ライヴ作『LIVE: ENTERTAINMENT OR DEATH』でも聴けない「God Bless The Children Of The Beast」「Red Hot」も飛び出す。
