The one and only day of Miles’ live performance has arrived. Ann Arbor performance on February 21, 1970. As the title suggests, it is a valuable live sound source in which John McLaughlin participated, as deep fans will know immediately. Of course, McLaughlin also participates in “Bitches Brew” and the soundtrack “Jack Johnson”, and is one of the key players who promoted the electrification of Miles. However, when it came to live performances, it was difficult to achieve co-starring. At that time, McLaughlin was also extremely busy with Tony Williams’ lifetime, his own project, and the launch of the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Currently, the live performance of this organization can only be heard on this day (the photo used for the jacket is that day). Naturally, it is a valuable sound source and several titles have been released so far, but our Voodoo Down Records is the strength of the supervision of the So What Label, and the original master is officially taken over and remastered. It is recorded with the highest quality ever. This sound source, and fortunately, McLaughlin’s guitar is also captured in an easy-to-listen manner, and its violence is clearly recorded. There is a glimpse of the guitar solo that seems to be drawn from the salty “It’s About That Time” and the cutting that is reminiscent of the soundtrack “Jack Johnson”, and DeJohnette’s drumming is intense again with two cool downs in between. “Bitches Brew” is the one that heats up and rushes in. And the ultimate is “Maskualero”, which was highly praised by the late Yasuki Nakayama, who is familiar to fans as a Miles collector and critic. It is overwhelming to forget the blinking instead of closing the open mouth. Eye drops are required for contact lenses.

It’s not a sound source that sells as delicately as a sound board, but it’s rough and powerful, but rather the best way to convey the performance of the original band. There is no doubt that it is a must-have collection for fans.
