Jimi Hendrix, the Allman Brothers, the Grateful Dead, Neil Young, and many others performed at the Fillmore East, which was touted as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was Miles Davis, the emperor of the jazz world, who came down there with full satisfaction. It is the appearance of the title that recorded such Miles’ Fillmore performance first battle. At this time, a total of four performances, two performances each, were held on March 6th and 7th, and the title that appeared this time contained the two performances on the first day (by the way, the two performances on the 7th were the official “ LIVE AT THE FILLMORE EAST (MARCH 7, 1970)”). This first day was Miles Davis’ Fillmore’s first battle, but several titles have been released so far. This is because the performance is wonderful and the sound quality is good with the sound board sound source. Although it has been newly remastered this time, it cannot be said that it has changed significantly to be honest. This is because the sound quality is originally good for layering. For the time being, the timbre that was slightly closer to the treble has been changed to the mid-low range. Still, there is no doubt that it is an important sound source that must be added to the lineup of Voodoo Down Records. In this way, there are no major changes in the main part, but the bonus tracks are really wonderful. It was a studio live sound source that invited only the parties concerned on August 2nd of the same year, and it was hesitant to commercialize it as a single item because it was about 25 minutes long. However, if you look at the set list, it is obvious that there are famous songs such as “BITCHES BREW” and “SPANISH KEY” that are not played in the main part. Although the performance was wonderful on the first day of the Fillmore performance, which is the main part, “BITCHES BREW” and “SPANISH KEY” being played on the second day were not played. It is this bonus track that perfectly compensates for these missing pieces. Moreover, this is also a sound board sound source. It is no exaggeration to say that they are already a couple.
By the way, as it is persistently described in the text, it has excellent sound quality, so it is a perfect collector’s item for beginners.

The legendary label “So What”, which has received tremendous trust from Miles Davis enthusiasts and has produced numerous masterpieces. Under the full supervision of the “So What” label, “Voodoo Down Records (hereinafter VDD)” was launched at the end of 2020. You can see the depth of trust from the fact that they were allowed to list the label name of “SO WHAT!” for the first time. Careful mastering, editing, discerning artwork with band, press board of beautiful picture disc. Although it is a new label, it is already attracting attention as a must-have item for Miles collectors.
ジミ・ヘンドリクス、オールマン・ブラザーズ、グレイトフル・デッド、ニール・ヤングら錚々たるメンツが演奏を行い、ロックの殿堂と謳われたフィルモア・イースト。そこに満を持して降臨したのはジャズ界の帝王マイルス・デイヴィス。そんなマイルスのフィルモア公演初陣を収録したタイトルの登場です。この時は3月6日と7日の二日間でそれぞれ二公演の計四公演が行われており、今回登場のタイトルは初日の二公演を収めたもの（因みに7日の二公演はオフィシャル『LIVE AT THE FILLMORE EAST (MARCH 7, 1970)』で聴くことができます）。この初日こそがマイルス・デイヴィスのフィルモア初陣となったわけですが、今までも数タイトルがリリースされてきました。なぜならそれは、演奏が素晴らしい上にサウンドボード音源で音質が良いから。今回新たにリマスターを施されていますが、正直なところ大幅に変わったとは言えません。なぜならそれは、重ね重ねも元々音質が良いから。一応記させて頂くとやや高音寄りだった音色を中低寄りにしてあります。それでもヴードゥー・ダウン・レコーズのライン・ナップには加えなくてはいけない重要な音源であることに間違いありません。このように本編こそ大幅な変更点はありませんが、ボーナス・トラックが実に素晴らしい。同年8月2日に関係者のみを招いて行ったスタジオ・ライヴ音源で、25分程度という長さの為単品での商品化はためらわれるもの。しかしセットリストをご覧いただければ一目瞭然、本編では演奏されていない『BITCHES BREW』や『SPANISH KEY』といった名曲が名を連ねているのです。本編となっているフィルモア公演初日は演奏こそ素晴らしいものの、二日目には演奏されている『BITCHES BREW』や『SPANISH KEY』が演奏されなかったのです。これら抜け落ちたピースをピタリ補填するのがこのボーナス・トラック。しかもこちらもサウンドボード音源。もはやカップリングと言っても過言では無い存在感です。
因みに本文中に執拗に記載されている通り音質抜群の為、コレクターズ・アイテム初心者の入門用としても最適なアイテムです。
