本音源は1曲目の「Ulcer」が再生された瞬間、すべての聴き手にクオリティの高さを直感させる素晴らしい音質で、マスター鮮度の高さに裏付けられた明度はずば抜けたものがあります。聴き手を包むような音の広がりと臨場感だけでなく、マイケルのギターやゲイリーのヴォーカルほか、メンバーの演奏ひとつひとつも明瞭な輪郭と分離感で捉えられた音像は堪りません。「Cry For The Nations」の1:00近辺でマスターに由来するやや大きめのノイズが入るものの、それ以外は当時のオーディエンス録音としてほぼ完璧といえる音質です! マイケルのギターは序盤から絶好調で、「Attack Of The Mad Axeman」の扇情的なイントロ、「Bijou Pleasurette」のメロディアスなフレージングなど、随所で素晴らしいプレイを連発します。「Into The Arena」の劇的なサウンドは当然ながらオーディエンスの爆発的な盛り上がりを生み出しており、これには聴き手も興奮する事間違いなし! またこの日はゲイリーのヴォーカルもなかなか好調で、「ASSAULT ATTACK」からの「Rock You To The Ground」や「Desert Song」もしっかりと歌えています。その「Desert Song」後半におけるマイケルのソロは出色のプレイで、そこから「Courvoisier Concerto」へメドレー的に流れる場面は絶品といえる聴き応え。後半に炸裂する’83年ツアーの目玉「Looking For Love」とともに、本ライヴの大きな聴き所を構築しています! ステージとオーディエンスが一体になって弾ける「Armed And Ready」・「Doctor Doctor」、アンコールで演奏される「Are You Ready To Rock」と「Rock Bottom」(15分もの熱演!)まで、約107分のライヴは聴き所満載です! 「これほどの音源がギフト・タイトル!?」とファンを驚かせるであろう本作は、あの「GOD RETURNS DEFINITIVE MASTER」などと並び、M.S.G.の’83年来日音源の定番に位置づけられる事でしょう。ファン必聴・必携の重要音源の登場です!!
