METALLICA in the “BLACK ALBUM” era, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary and is full of re-evaluation. While representing such a time, two leaked DAT masters of the super-excellent sound board that were not recorded in the official box will be reprinted and released.
This work is the first of two simultaneous releases. It is a transcendental stereo sound board recording of “December 7, 1992 Den Boss (Sherto Henbos) performance”. The world tour of the “BLACK ALBUM” era lasts for three years and is a historic giant road divided into five sections. It was an era when the members even said, “It was as if I had entered a live school until I graduated.” Speaking of that symbol, it is also the San Diego performance / Mexico City performance of “LIVE SHIT: BINGE & PURGE”, so let’s sort out the positional relationship of each from the overall picture of the activity.

《Released “BLACK ALBUM” on August 12, 1991》
* WHERE EVER WE MAY ROAM Tour # 1
(August 1991-July 1992: 162 performances) ← * Official San Diego
* GUNS / METALLICA Stadium Tour
(July-October 1992: 25 performances / North America)
* WHERE EVER WE MAY ROAM Tour # 2
(October-December 1992: 36 performances / Europe) ← ★ Coco ★
* NOWHERE ELSE TO ROAM Tour
(January-July 1993: 77 performances) ← * Official Mexico City
<< Released “LIVE SHIT” on November 23, 1993 >>
* SHIT HITS THE SHEDS Tour
(May-August 1994: 51 performances / North America)

This is the outline of activities in the “BLACK ALBUM” era. The Den Boss performance of this work is the latter half of “WHEREVER WE MAY ROAM Tour” after the collaboration tour with GUNS N’ROSES. It was the final concert, which was the 30th performance.
This show left a professional shot, and our “BLACK ASSAULT” shocked collectors all over the world. This work is not that sound drop ………. A DAT master that was directly handed over from the people involved at the time, and was once discovered as “BLACK DUTCH”. Although it is different from “BLACK ASSAULT”, it is a brand that has been digitized directly from the venerable (?) Outflow master.
Actually, the content and sound are different, and although the beginning “Enter Sandman” is in the middle, the sound surpasses the pro shot version. Unlike the video version, where the sound was distorted in several places, you can enjoy almost the entire view of the show with the sound board directly connected to the iron wall. When this DAT master was unearthed, it was highly praised by specialized magazines as “the best sound in the history of Metallica bootlegs” and “the ultra-high sound quality that is almost compensated for by lacking about half of Sandman”. At the same time, it was said that “the cheers are too off and the sense of presence is zero” and “the coarseness of the play is too noticeable (too direct)”, but even that shows the awesomeness of the transcendental sound. rice field. This work is a sound board album that precisely reproduces such a shock master.
And, what is drawn with such a super close contact sound is a show different from “LIVE SHIT: BINGE & PURGE”. Here, let’s organize the set while comparing it with the official 2 performances.

● Black Album
・ Enter Sandman / Sad But True / Wherever I May Roam / Of Wolf And Man / The Unforgiven / Through The Never / Nothing Else Matters
● Others
・ Blood-dyed iron hammer: Seek & Destroy / Whiplash / Motorbreath
・ Ride the Lightning: Creeping Death / For Whom The Bell Tolls / Fade To Black
・ Metal Master: Welcome Home (Sanitarium) / Master Of Puppets / Damage Inc. (★)
・ Metal Justice: Harvester Of Sorrow / Justice Medley / One
・ Cover: Am I Evil? / Last Caress / Breadfan (★)
* Note: The “★” mark is a song that could not be heard at the San Diego performance / Mexico City performance of “LIVE SHIT: BINGE & PURGE”.

…… And it looks like this. I’m happy with the rare “Of Wolf And Man,” “Through The Never,” and “Justice Medley,” but the encore that folds “Damage Inc.” and “Breadfan,” which I couldn’t hear officially, is delicious. Of course, it’s not so rare historically, but it’s irresistible to enjoy it with the band potential of 1992, which is still in the climax of the “BLACK ALBUM” era, but hasn’t burned out yet. The mood of a live band is the best around “Am I Evil?” With SCORPIONS’s “Rock You Like A Hurricane”.
The video version “BLACK ASSAULT” was also a shock, but the DAT master, which transcended the sound quality, was also a shock. A masterpiece that can be called “LIVE SHIT on the underground side”. Please enjoy this reprinted release to your heart’s content.

本作のデンボス公演はGUNS N’ ROSESとの協働ツアーを終えた後の“WHEREVER WE MAY ROAM Tour”後半。

現在ではわりとレアな「Of Wolf And Man」「Through The Never」や「Justice Medley」も嬉しいですが、やはり公式では聴けなかった「Damage Inc.」「Breadfan」を畳みかけるアンコールが美味しい。 「Am I Evil?」でSCORPIONSの「Rock You Like A Hurricane」を交える辺りもライヴバンド然としたムードが最高です。
