Although the clear gene has not been clarified, it seems that this work is the original or another 1st gene because the master was the 1st gene in the past.

Its true value is a powerful sound that is extremely thick and closely attached! これが1992年／1993年のMEGADETH。本作のパリ公演は序盤も序盤。「欧州#1」の７公演目にあたるコンサートでした。ここでピンと来た方は熱心なコレクター。そう、1992年のフランスと言えば、当店では『MULHOUSE 1992（Shades 882）』が定番となっておりますが、本作はその２日後。まさに次のステージだったのです。
そんなショウを真空パックした本作は、まさに極上のオーディエンス……と言いますか、そこら辺のFM放送も裸足で逃げ出す超ビビッド＆クリア・サウンド。実のところ、録音自体は以前から出回っていたのですが、本作は最近になって発掘されたアップグレード・マスター。ハッキリしたジェネは明らかにされていないものの、従来マスターが1stジェネでしたので本作は大元か、別系等の1stジェネではないかと思われます。
開演時から従来より長く収録されていることからアップグレード・マスターなのは明らかですが、それは単なる証拠に過ぎない。その真価は極太・ド密着な強力サウンド！　鋭いリフはギャリギャリとうねりを上げるほど鮮明で、ベースもヴォーカルもタイムラグなしで耳にねじ込まれ、距離感が完全皆無。オーディエンスらしさが表れやすいスネアの音色にも空間感覚ゼロで「コレ本当にこれがオーディエンス!?」と疑問が頭の中をグルグル回る凄まじさです。先ほど『MULHOUSE 1992』を引き合いに出しましたが、ショウは直近でもサウンドはまったく比較にならない。もし「これが大元」の確証さえあれば、永久保存プレス化されたであろう超絶のサウンドなのです。
そんなド級ダイレクト・サウンドで描かれるのは、一大全盛の旨み全開なフルショウ。先ほども述べたように本作はツアーが本格始動して７公演目。身体が連日のショウや新曲にも馴染み、いよいよフル運転が始まったタイミング。もちろん、その後に運命を変えてしまうドラック癖の再発も起こっておらず、ピークのバンド・ポテンシャルが最高潮に達しているのです。しかも、ヘヴィメタルの真髄に迫った大名盤『COUNTDOWN TO EXTINCTION』の新曲も盛りだくさん。このツアーの頂点と言えば、20周年盤『COUNTDOWN TO EXTINCTION』で公式化された『LIVE AT COW PALACE』ですが、本作は似て非なるセット。ここで比較しながら整理してみましょう。
