Mark Knopfler in 2013, whose two-disc masterpiece “PRIVATEERING” swept the charts of European countries and showed strong popularity. Introducing a video work that allows you to experience the full show in a special seat.
This work was shot at “June 27, 2013 Paris performance”. It is the superb view audience shot. Speaking of the “PRIVATEERING” era, a joint tour with Bob Dylan was also talked about, but this work is a record of a different solo tour. In order to understand the situation in that area, let’s first unravel the schedule at that time and confirm the position of the show.

This is Mark Knopfler for 2012/2013. It seems complicated to arrange in this way, but in reality there are many sporadic shows, and there are only two “tours” that repeat movement and stage. Only the “North America # 1”, which was coupled with Bob Dylan after the album was released, and the “Europe” leg, which was performed by Mark alone the following year. Of course, the performance of this work in Paris is the latter. It was the 44th concert out of 70 performances.
This work taken at such a show is just a sample of a superb view. Although the detailed position is unknown, the stand seat on the left side of the stage can be seen from an angle. Immediately after the performance, the shadow of the clapping that seems to be the next seat appears (for a moment), but as soon as you grasp the standing position of the mark, it zooms and stabilizes. And it is a wonderful sound that is not defeated by the superb view. Anyway, it’s beautiful and beautiful. It doesn’t feel like a sound board, but it’s not too far away. A vivid core reaches straight through the center of the air, which is as open as the field of view, and the sound of the hall rising like steam adds thickness and dynamism. A large ensemble of eight people with a variety of musical instruments such as flute, violin, and accordion wraps the whole body, and you can fully enjoy the subtleties and umami that emerge from it.

In addition, Ruth Moody participated as a guest in the “I Dug Up A Diamond”. She is a singer of the folk / bluegrass group THE WAILIN’JENNYS, and is familiar with her upcoming work “TRACKER”. She also participates in “PRIVATEERING”, and she shows her delicate singing voice in three songs “I Dug Up A Diamond”, “Seattle” and “Kingdom of Gold” in this work as well.
In the next work “TRACKER”, Mark Knopfler achieved the 3rd place in the UK for the first time since DIRE STRAITS.
