In 2008, Madonna was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and embarked on the super big tour “STICKY & SWEET Tour”, which set a new record for solo singer tours. A special edition of the symbolic video is now available.

This is Madonna in 2008/2009. The 2008 edition consisted of two parts, the regions I had visited before, and the 2009 edition the regions I visited for the first time. And the Buenos Aires performance is the same venue 4 performances arranged at the beginning of the “South America” tour. This work is a video work edited from the 4 performances (although the official version is credited as “December 7th / 8th”, this work conforms to the credit at the time of broadcasting).
This work, which records such a show, is completely official. At our shop, we have received the best masters from record maniacs, but the person who provided this work is a person known for its high quality. If you say “maniac who worked on the Japanese broadcasting of Michael Jackson and Prince”, many people may come to mind. In fact, the quality of this work is completely official grade … or rather, it remains almost an official work. It was released at a certain satellite broadcasting station on “October 24, 2009”, five months before the official release, but the satellite broadcasting station is a long-established digital broadcasting station even before terrestrial digitalization. It is a DVD conversion without deterioration that does not involve any analog for broadcasting / recording.
In fact, the editing and cuts are the same as the official version (the ending production is completely different), but it’s not exactly the same. Madonna’s MC is equipped with Japanese subtitles unique to the program, and song title telops are also included. Especially the Japanese subtitles are excellent. The sense of translation that has been cultivated in many foreign film broadcasts is extremely natural, and the sexy talk is synchronized with the real voice and can be understood directly.

そんな本作に収められているのは「2008年12月４日ー８日：ブエノスアイレス公演」。そのマルチカメラ・プロショットです。ご存知の通り、このショウは公式ライヴアルバム／映像作『STICKY & SWEET TOUR』ともなっているわけですが、本作はそんな公式品のコピー。。。では、ありません。オフィシャルに作品化される前に公開された、日本放送バージョンなのです。その内容に触れる前に、まずはショウのポジション。４億ドル以上を稼ぎ出した驚異のワールド・ツアーの概要から振り返ってみましょう。

これが2008年／2009年のマドンナ。2008年編はそれまでにも行ったことのある地域、2009年編は初めて行く地域という二部構成でした。ただし、南米は初めてではないものの、この時が二度目。1993年の“THE GIRLIE SHOW”以来、15年ぶりのことでした。そして、ブエノスアイレス公演は「南米」ツアーの冒頭に配された同会場４公演。本作は、その４公演から編集された映像作品なのです（公式版では「12月７日／８日」とクレジットされていますが、本作では放送当時のクレジットに準拠しました）。
そんなショウを記録した本作は、完全オフィシャル級。当店では記録マニアの方々から極上マスターの提供を受けているのですが、本作を提供してくださったのは、特にハイクオリティで知られる人物。「マイケル・ジャクソンやプリンスの日本放送を手掛けたマニア」と言えば、ピンと来る方も多いのではないでしょうか。実際、本作のクオリティは完全オフィシャル級……と言いますか、ほとんどオフィシャル作品のまま。公式リリースの５ヶ月前となる「2009年10月24日」に某衛星放送局で公開されたのですが、地デジ化前でも衛星放送局はデジタル放送の老舗。放送・録画に一切のアナログを介さない劣化なしのDVD化なのです。
実のところ、編集もカット割りも公式版と同じ（エンディングの演出はまったく違います）だったりするのですが、何から何まで完全同一なわけでもない。マドンナのMCには番組独自の日本語字幕が完備されており、曲名テロップも入る。特に日本語字幕は秀逸。数々の洋画放送でも培われてきた翻訳センスは極めて自然で、セクシーな語りかけが肉声とシンクロしてダイレクトに理解できます。
そんなクオリティで画かれるのは、当代きってのエンターテインメントを極めていた“STICKY & SWEET Tour”世界。これまた公式作と同一だったりするのですが、良い機会でもあるのでここで整理しておきましょう。
