The first miracle visit to Japan that was realized during the life of Lowell George. A new soundboard album that conveys the scene is discovered. Introducing the Permanent Preservation Press 2CD! The performance of “July 4, 1978: Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan” is enclosed in this work. It is the superb stereo sound board recording. Speaking of LITTLE FEAT’s first visit to Japan, the FM sound board for radio broadcasting is also a big standard, but this work is a completely different performance. To confirm the situation, let’s first look back on the legendary first visit to Japan schedule. ・ July 1: Nagoya City Assembly Hall ← * FM broadcast & “NAGOYA 1978” ・ July 4: Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan ← ★ This work ★ ・ July 5: Nakano Sunplaza ・ July 6: Osaka Festival Hall ・ July 7: Nakano Sunplaza ・ July 8: Nakano Sunplaza ← * FM broadcast “TOKYO 1978 FINAL NIGHT” Above, all 6 performances. The FM broadcast has been known for Nagoya on the first day and Nakano Sunplaza on the last day, but the Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan of this work is neither of them, and it is the second performance. It is shocking that the sound board was newly discovered for the first time in 43 years, but I was surprised at the quality. The feeling of direct connection that seems to be a spill is different from “WAITING FOR COLUMBUS”, and the slightly rough mix is also extremely vivid. In that sense, it may not be the type called “completely official class”, but that is rather a beauty. The live performances of the six people are brilliantly separated and poured into the brain, rather than the production and brilliance created later. There is no hope of a simulated experience at the live venue, such as a fiercely distant and small cheer between songs, but instead, the feeling of synchronization with the performance is tremendous. You can immerse yourself in the sense of unity that the skull itself has become part of the PA system. Moreover, the master freshness is also wonderful. It has a vintage feel of the 70’s, but it doesn’t mean dubbing marks or aging. It’s analog warmth, but it’s natural and fresh. Such a master has been sleeping unknowingly for more than 40 years … It is a new excavation that shakes the fact itself. The sound drawn is a full show that can be called “WAITING FOR COLUMBUS from Japan”. There is also the familiar Japanese performance FM sound board “TOKYO 1978 FINAL NIGHT (Uxbridge 1402)”, but here let’s organize the set while comparing it with the original version of “WAITING FOR COLUMBUS”. ● SAILIN’SHOES ・ A Apolitical Blues / Tripe Face Boogie / Willin’ ● DIXIE CHICKEN ・ Fat Man In The Bathtub / Dixie Chicken ● FEATS DON’T FAIL ME NOW ・ Skin It Back (★) / Rock and Roll Doctor (★) / Oh Atlanta / Feats Don’t Fail Me Now ● THE LAST RECORD ALBUM ・ Day Or Night / All That You Dream ● TIME LOVES A HERO ・ Time Loves a Hero / Day at the Dog Races (★) / Old Folks Boogie / Rocket in My Pocket ● Others ・ Don’t Bogart That Joint * Note: The “★” mark is a song that cannot be heard on the official “WAITING FOR COLUMBUS (original version)”. … And it looks like this. In 2002, an extended deluxe edition of “WAITING FOR COLUMBUS”, which increased the number of outtake songs by 10 songs, was released, but the above is just a comparison with the original version. The basics are based on “WAITING FOR COLUMBUS”, but the three songs “Skin It Back”, “Rock and Roll Doctor”, and “Day at the Dog Races” that cannot be heard there are also delicious. Actually, it is different from “TOKYO 1978 FINAL NIGHT” on the last day, and “A Apolitical Blues” that cannot be heard is shown there. In other words, a Japanese singer-songwriter, Ms. OY, who participated as a guest in “Day At The Dog Races” and “Feats Don’t Fail Me Now”, couldn’t hear it on the final day. Especially in the encore “Feats Don’t Fail Me Now”, you can enjoy the Japanese MC and singing voice that calls her “Saa, Douzo” on the sound board. A full sound board with a shock that is different from the standard FM sound source. It is a new excavation of a miracle realized beyond the space-time of 43 years. A sound directly connected to the brain that can be completely synchronized with the enthusiasm that Lowell George left in Japan. Please fully experience with the permanent storage press 2CD. ★ Superb stereo sound board recording of “July 4, 1978: Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan” performance. A truly shocking soundboard album

基本は『WAITING FOR COLUMBUS』に準じつつ、そこでも聴けない3曲「Skin It Back」「Rock and Roll Doctor」「Day at the Dog Races」も美味しい。 もっと言えば「Day At The Dog Races」「Feats Don’t Fail Me Now」でゲスト参加している日本の某シンガーソングライターA.Y.
