Two weeks ago, JEMS released Mike Millard Master as a ZEP sound source for the first time in a while, and it was the second day of Long Beach in 1975, so enthusiasts from all over the world were excited. As is well known, this day was an incomplete recording. The reason is explained again in this release, but according to it, the arrival of the wheelchair transporter, which was an important tool for recording for Millard, was delayed, and Millard and his party finally got inside the venue. It was the end of the live that I put in. Not surprisingly, Millard was terribly upset by this accident.
There is another point in this problem that you cannot regret even if you regret it. The performance on that day was very good. The day before, he performed wonderfully, but this day reached the next level beyond that, and it was an important day that marked the beginning of a series of famous performances to Seattle. It was the culmination of the 1975 American tour, and if Millard had captured the whole story in the usual quality, it would have been an eternal sound source.

After all, the recording of Mirrored started in the middle of “Stairway To Heaven”, but even if you listen to this part, you can hear the awesomeness of ZEP’s performance on that day. I’m in trouble (laughs). In particular, Bonzo is hitting sharp drumming, and Jimmy, who is fanned by it, also plays the guitar solo in a different free atmosphere than usual.
It accelerated further after “Whole Lotta Love”. There, the snow fell into “The Crunge”, but it wasn’t as strong as the day before, but rather it seemed like we were waiting for the next development.
And it is the finale “Heartbreaker” that shows a development suitable for the end of this high voltage day. When the band returns from Jimmy’s solo performance, it will move to the development of heavy blues that is reminiscent of the second day of MSG called “FLYING CIRCUS”. If this is MSG, Robert started singing Elvis and it was in a sloppy tone, but the second dance at that time was just exempt, and he started singing “I’m A Man” which is more suitable. It will be exciting.
I thought that this series of developments would end and return to the song, it seems that it was this day that Bonzo and Jimmy went out of control for further developments. This time, in 75 years, they moved to a funky riff that could be said to be their true essence, and improvisation continued longer than usual.

The second day of the long beach with plenty of mirrored listening even though the recording time was short in this way. The Mirrored Master was finally released, but this was not straightforward. Since it was the same long beach in 1975, it appeared in a remastered version this time as well. It is said that it was dadgad who was in charge of the work.
Therefore, there is not much natural feeling like a master cassette. To put it better, it had a high degree of perfection, and to put it worse, it had a flashy finish that was typical of daDGad. However, the original recording condition is also very complete, so it goes well with dadgad, and the left and right balance is also solid. Rather, it will be a high-quality sound that is recommended for everyone.
The problem was that unlike the day before, JEMS only released the version of dadegad equalize. From their point of view, it was a day when only 30 minutes were recorded, and the equalized version would be enough … However, from a maniac’s point of view, it has evolved into a heated debate that “flat transfer should also be made public.” This is ZEP’s Mirrored Master, at least not surprisingly.
However, the situation has not changed, and the current situation is that only dadgad can ask about the mirrored master on the second day of Long Beach. I was watching the transition of the situation at the time of this limited press CD release, but since the quality of the dadgad version is sufficient for the release without complaint, it became a match with this release. If you want to hear it in a natural way, we recommend GRAF ZEPPELIN’s “LONG BEACH 1975 2ND NIGHT”.
Rather, by listening to it and comparing it, you will be able to recognize the high degree of perfection of this version. Please enjoy the latest version of the famous sound source by Mike Millard, which is a short recording but condensed with the high voltage of the day.

★ Comparison with existing (1st Gen)
* Left-right reversal
* As for the sound quality, it is wonderful that the high-pitched sound comes out beautifully without noise.
* Since the texture is unique, maybe the surround effect installed in the playback deck is added.
