The Knebworth Festival, an outdoor setting outside Britain, has been a show of many artists since 1974. It is a world-class music festival that has been colored by legends, such as a concert at a moment, a trigger for returning to the scene, or a show of a new song. The artists that have appeared so far are Floyd, Zeppelin, The Stones, Zappa, Genesis, The Beach Boys, Purple, Clapton and Oasis, all of which are considered to be one of the band’s leading concerts. This work is a complete shot of the 1979 Zeppelin stage from the Nebworth Festival with professional shots. This year, Led Zeppelin has appeared for two days, but this is the second day.

At this point, Zeppelin had not been on stage for about two years. Plant’s son died unexpectedly during the American Tour in 1977, and has been away from the stage since the tour was interrupted due to the consequences. Britain had not been on stage for four years since 1975. Therefore, before granting a major tour, Peter Grant decided to first perform on a one-shot stage, Nebworth.

The rehearsals for Nebworth were carefully conducted at Bray Film Studios in London, just as the stage was after a long blank. With even more attention, two warm-up concerts were held in Copenhagen. The two-day concert in Copenhagen has also been released on the Wendy label (Copenhagen Warm Ups 4CD).

This year’s Nebworth featured many artists, including the New Barbarians and Utopia led by Todd Rundgren, but as you can see from the poster, the main act was the resurrection stage of Led Zeppelin. It is also known that the two days in Knebworth both have professional shot footage. This was filmed later for the purpose of being broadcast as a television show, and evidence shows that both members of the Zeppelin are dressed in the same costume on both days. However, the footage at this time was only used in pieces, and only a few songs were announced, and the complete recording has not yet been officially released. This work is a pro shot complete board of the outflow.

Since the video or sound board sound source has already been released in the past, the content will be familiar to enthusiastic fans, so there is no need to explain again here. The image quality is the highest imaginable at present, and the color balance and contrast are naturally adjusted for the color tone, and corrections are made to the extent that they are not excessive. Another feature of this work is the voice switching function. Voice 1 is a sound board sound source. Audio 2 is the same day audience sound source, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the venue. And sound 3 is a mix of sound board sound source and audience sound source. Both can be switched during playback, so please enjoy yourself if you like. 英国郊外の屋外で行なわれるネブワース・フェスティバルは1974年の開催以来、数多くのアーティストの名演が展開されてきた。その時々で節目のコンサートであったり、現場復帰のきっかけとなったり、或いは新曲の披露であったりと、様々な伝説に彩られてきた世界屈指のミュージック・フェスである。今まで出演したアーティストは、フロイド、ツェッペリン、ストーンズ、ザッパ、ジェネシス、ビーチボーイズにパープル、クラプトン、オアシスなど、いずれもそのバンドにとって代表的なコンサートのひとつとして捉えられている。本作はそのネブワース・フェスティバルより、1979年ツェッペリンのステージをプロショットで完全収録した映像である。この年レッドツェッペリンは2日間出演しているが、本作はその二日目である。

この時点でツェッペリンは約2年間の間ステージを行なっていなかった。1977年のアメリカン・ツアー中にプラントの息子が不慮に亡くなり、その影響からツアーを中断して以来、ステージから遠ざかっていたのである。英国に至っては1975年以来、4年間もステージに立っていなかった。そこでピーター・グラントは、大規模なツアーを行なう前に、まず単発ステージであるネブワースに出演する事を決めたのである。

長いブランクを経てのステージなだけに、ネブワースに向けてのリハーサルはロンドンのブレイ・フィルム・スタジオで入念に行なわれた。そしてさらに念を入れてコペンハーゲンで2度のウォーム・アップ・コンサートが行なわれたのである。このコペンハーゲンでの2日間に渡るコンサートもWendyレーベルよりリリースされている（『Copenhagen Warm Ups』4CD）。

この年のネブワースはニューバーバリアンズやトッドラングレン率いるユートピアなどフェスティバルなだけに数多くのアーティストが出演したが、ポスターを見てわかる通り、メイン・アクトはレッド・ツェッペリンの復活ステージであった。そしてネブワースにおける2日間は両日ともプロショット映像が残されている事でも知られている。これは後にテレビショウとして放送する目的で撮影されたもので、それが証拠に両日ともツェッペリンのメンバーは同じ衣装で出演している。しかしこの時の映像は断片的に使われたり、数曲が発表されるにとどまり、いまだ完全収録映像というのは公式にはリリースされていない。本作はその流出のプロショット完全盤である。

既に過去においても映像なりサウンドボード音源がリリースされているので熱心なファンにとって内容的はお馴染みのものであろうから、ここで改めて解説する必要はあるまい。画質は現在考えうる最高のものであり、さらに色味を自然にカラーバランスとコントラストを調整、過度にならない程度の補正が施してある。さらに本作の特長としては、音声切り替え機能が特筆される。音声1はサウンドボード音源。音声2は同日のオーディエンス音源で会場の雰囲気そのままを楽しむことが出来る。そして音声3はサウンドボード音源とオーディエンス音源のミックスである。いずれも再生中でも切り替え可能なので、好みに応じて楽しんでみて欲しい。 美しいピクチャー・ディスク仕様の永久保存がっちりプレス盤。日本語帯付。
