Led Zeppelin has been remarkably discovering new sound sources in recent years. This time, the first day of the “North American Tour” in 1975, the Bloomington performance on January 18th will appear. The encore set after “Stairway to Heaven” is not recorded, but the sound source of this day is the first appearance! It was the first time I saw the light of day when the main story except the encore was almost perfect. The tour is said to have been played with limited fingers because Jimmy Page was injured by pinching his ring finger in the door of his train before leaving England. Therefore, during January, “Days and Confused”, which mainly consists of long guitar solos, is out of the set list. However, it is extremely valuable that “When the Levee Breaks” and “The Wanton Song” are played instead. A rare track that is rarely played throughout all concerts. The master was edited by fans between the songs, which made me feel a little uncomfortable, but it has been carefully reconnected so that it can be enjoyed naturally without awakening. The sound quality is good for the audience, but it tends to be cloudy with a little reverberation, so the remastering has been edited to make Page’s guitar and Bonzo’s snare even more prominent.
The first limited edition will come with a numbered obi.

近年新音源の発掘が目覚ましく進んでいるレッド・ツェッペリン。今回は1975年の“ノース・アメリカン・ツアー”の初日、1月18日のブルーミントン公演が登場です。『天国への階段』後のアンコール・セットが収録されていないのが玉に瑕ですが、なんとこの日の音源は初登場！アンコールを除く本編がほぼ完ぺきな状態で初めて日の目を見たというわけです。このツアーはジミー・ペイジがイギリスを出国する前に電車のドアに薬指を挟んで怪我をしてしまった為、限られた指でプレイをしたと言われています。よって1月中は長尺ギター・ソロがメインとなる『デイズ・アンド・コンフューズド』がセットリストから外れています。しかし、その代わりに『When the Levee Breaks』と『The Wanton Song』が演奏されている点が超貴重。全コンサートを通してもめったに演奏されていないレア・トラックです。マスターは曲間にファンによる編集がされており、やや違和感を感じましたが、丁寧に繋ぎ直してあり興醒めすることなく自然に楽しめるように改善されています。音質は良好オーディエンスですがやや反響音で曇りがちだったため、リマスタリングによりペイジのギターとボンゾのスネアが一層際立つ編集がされています。
