Among the many ZEP live recordings, there are some that have existed for some time, but the sound quality is poor and they remain at a level that is available among traders and have never been released. A typical example is an audience recording on the 1972 American tour. It has been in circulation for many years as a capture of the June 13th performance at the Philadelphia Spectrum, but not only was the recording monaural, but the sound quality itself was too bad. The sound source was actually introduced in specialized books, but it was said that the sound quality was very poor.
For that reason, although the GRAF ZEPPELIN label is a free gift item, it was a wise decision to record this sound source on a press CD as a bonus for “CARDIFF 1972 2ND NIGHT”.
However, at the end of last year, the upper version of the sound source like “Fumi-e” in the United States in 1972 suddenly appeared. It is said that it was owned by a maniac who calls himself sean_the_bootlegger, and although the gene is unknown like the version that was on the market in the past, the sound quality has improved dramatically. The past version was at a level where it was barely confirmed that the song was being played, but this time it is a perfect break from such a rough condition. The freshness of the tape has also improved, and the quality has been improved so that you can feel the splendor of the performance.

Even so, it is still a monaural audience with coarse sound quality, and the sound quality of the part until the guitar solo ends with the first “Heartbreaker” is ugly. However, the upper feeling that the view improves at once after that is outstanding this time.
As a result of being able to hear even Robert’s MC, although it is still unclear, the overseas enthusiast who analyzed it came to the opinion that “Isn’t it actually the 10-day buffalo, not the Philadelphia spectrum?” It was. The sound source has not been excavated until now on the 10th, and this analysis strengthened the line of Buffalo. However, the current situation is that this view is also lacking in decisiveness, but the sound source of Philadelphia Spectrum has not been excavated even at fan sites, and this time the sound source has been renewed as Buffalo.
Also, regarding the performance position of “Bring It On Home” from the cut points between songs, it is possible that the proof of “CARDIFF 1972 2ND NIGHT”, which is considered to have been performed as a finale, is correct.

In any case, this time we will release the popular upper version as a luxurious free gift CD-R, but since the pitch was already adjusted when it appeared on the net, the volume level will be adjusted for this release. Only raised. The petit noise scattered in the latter half of each disc was originally mixed. And with the appearance of the upper version this time, it is the best harvest to be able to enjoy the wonderfulness of the performance that was very difficult to convey until now.
“Bring It On Home” shows a thrilling development where Jimmy in the session man era started playing the riff of Them’s “Baby Please Don’t Go” which was playing lead guitar, and he played “Stairway To”. The phrase of “Heaven” guitar solo is also different from usual. In addition, before starting “Moby Dick”, even a rare scene where Robert screams “Bullshit!” With a microphone when Bonzo is accused of being a “good friend … a wonderful musician”. In fact, the 1972 Philadelphia, which is a hot topic of enthusiasts all over the world, is said to be “A really good, highly spirited show” by this upper on the fan site … Please try the upper version of Buffalo as a gift. !!

★ At first, I’m surprised at how bad the sound is, but it’s surprisingly enough to “listen”. If it was the heyday of booting, it would have been made into a press CD with plenty of room. A must-listen / must-have upper board for enthusiasts!
