そんなサウンドで描かれる初日は、新たな音楽と出会った空気感がたまらない。開演から“これから初体験が始まる”というムードがいっぱいで、静まり返った中に緊張が走る。メンバーが登場するや声援も沸き上がりますが、デジタル・ビートに乗って一挙手一投足を眼に焼き付けんとする集中力が溢れるのです。そんなムードも１曲また１曲と重ねるうちにほぐれていき、「Pocket Calculator」「The Robots」では盛大な手拍子や大喝采へと変わっていく。“まだ日本では誰も体験してない”の緊張から“これがシンセポップなんだ”の喜びへ。場内にたゆたう、この流れこそが初体験、初来日初日の風なのです。
