サウンドボードにも色々ありますが、本作は卓直結かと思うようなダイレクト系。その超高音質ぶりは、再生ボタンを押した途端に飛び出す「Alright, Toronto!!」の雄叫び（ヴォリュームに注意！）から炸裂しています。その絶叫に応える歓声は遠く、逆に歌声と演奏は、耳の穴に直接流し込まれるかのよう。ピッキング・ニュアンスから、ヴォーカルにかかるうっすらとかけられたエコー、徐々に近づく「Firehouse」のサイレンに至るまで、すべてが脳裏にこびりつくスーパー・サウンドなのです。この衝撃は、まさに「ANAHEIM 1976」以来。しかも、あちらは大定番プロショット音声の（スーパー）アップグレードでしたが、こちらは完全初登場音源。残念ながら本編ラストの「Rock And Roll All Nite」の終わり部分とアンコール１曲目の「Deuce」の冒頭に欠けがあるものの、まさにあの衝撃再び、なのです。
本作には、近年ネットに登場したマスターを使用していますが、あまりの高音質ゆえに、すでにmp3圧縮されたデータも出回り始めています。しかし、本作はそういった圧縮を経たものではなく、マスター由来のサウンドを忠実にプレスCDに封入。聴きやすいように、欠けの部分にフェイドをかけただけのオリジナル・サウンドです。
そんな耳直サウンドで繰り広げられるライヴは、名盤中の名盤「DESTROYER」を創り上げ、乗りに乗る全盛期のKISSです。そして、会場はカナダ・オンタリオ州にあるトロントで、“DESTROYER TOUR”で唯一の海外公演。国境を挟んでいるとはいえ、人気の中心地デトロイトのすぐそばで行われたライヴ（“DESTROYER TOUR”にデトロイト公演はありませんでした）なのです。遠く小さい歓声からは熱狂は伝わりにくいですが、何よりもバンドの熱演が現場の狂乱をありありと教えてくれます。シラけた観客を前に、こんな凄い演奏をできるわけがない……。セットも出世作「ALIVE」を基本に「DESTROYER」からの新曲を５曲も投入、まさに何から何まで「ALIVE 1.5」といった大充実のライヴです。その熱演が脳みそにオンライン・サウンドで注ぎ込まれる……もはや「聴けて良かった」という次元ではなく、「聴いちゃって良かったのかな？」という戸惑いさえ覚える快感です。

ここまで徹底的に全編が凄いと、１曲ずつの細かい聴きどころをお話するのも躊躇われます。ともかく、この音を前に四の五の言っても始まらない。「ANAHEIM 1976」と双璧を成す、全盛期KISSの大・大・大決定盤です。聴いてない、持っていないはあり得ません。もちろん無論のプレスCDでリリース決定です！
