KISS original sound board series of our shop that shocks the whole world. That latest bullet appears. This time is a studio rehearsal of the 70’s golden era “ROCK & ROLL OVER TOUR” era.
Starting with the ’90’s’ REVENGE IN DAYTON (Zodiac 014)’, this series has been a succession of world-first superb sound boards. Perhaps also those who viewed this saga such as “UNRELEASED SPRING 1973 REHEARSAL (Zodiac 059)”, “AMITYVILLE 1973 (Zodiac 051)”, “STUDIO DEMOS 1975 (Zodiac 054)”, “ANAHEIM 1976 (Zodiac 031)” etc. I think that the book is heard. Not only is it the first appearance sound source in the world, it is an intense series that its quality is exquisitely exquisite.

This work is the latest bullet of such a shock series. It is the world first appearance master brought from the same route this time, but this time it is more intense. It is what it was digitized directly from the reel master who was treasured by Bill O’Coynn who was the first manager of KISS. Mr. Ocoin is a famous person for KISS Army. Talent manager who unearthed KISS in the anonymous era and brought up with powder crushed body. Three types of sound sources are included in this work. 【November 11, 1976 New York · Rehearsal】
First of all, there are 9 tours and rehearsals in New York which will appear in the whole world first time. Rehearsal for “ROCK & ROLL OVER TOUR” is famous for the rehearsal sound source at Reading, but this recording is different. Let’s organize from schedule here.

As a matter of fact, it is not a superb sound like the sound board series so far, but this is the “sound of the site” itself that the okoin master breathed in. 【衝撃のオーコイン・リール】
本作は、そんな衝撃シリーズの最新弾。今回もまた同じルートからもたらされた世界初登場マスターなのですが、今回はさらに強烈。なんと、KISSの初代マネージャーであるビル・オーコイン氏が秘蔵していたリール・マスターからダイレクトにデジタル化したものなのです。オーコイン氏は、KISSアーミーには有名な人物。無名時代のKISSを発掘し、粉骨砕身で育て上げた敏腕マネージャー。レコード契約を取り仕切り、メンバーに火拭きや血吐きを習わせ、グッズ戦略も考案。世界一のバンドへ押し上げた育ての親です。その彼が秘蔵していたマスター・リール……まさに秘宝中の秘宝なのです。
そんな本作に収められている音源は３種類。“ROCK & ROLL OVER TOUR”に向けて行われた「1976年11月11日ニューヨーク」と「1976年11月15日レディング」のツアー・リハーサル、それに“エディ・クレイマー・デモ”で知られるスタジオ・デモ。中には既に公開されている録音もありますが、それもすべてオーコイン・リールによる最高クオリティ・バージョンなのです。それでは各音源を詳しくご紹介していきましょう。
【1976年11月11日ニューヨーク・リハーサル】
まず登場するのが、全世界完全初登場となるニューヨークでのツアー・リハーサル９曲。「ROCK & ROLL OVER TOURのリハ」というとレディングでのリハーサル音源が有名ですが、この録音は違います。ここで、日程から整理しておきましょう。

このように、ロサンゼルス、ニューヨーク、レディングの３カ所でリハがあったわけですが、本作は２つめのニューヨーク。それもアルバム『ROCK & ROLL OVER』の発売日当日にスタジオ内で行われていたリハーサルです。そのクオリティは強烈なまでにリアルなサウンドボード。実のところ、これまでのサウンドボード・シリーズのような極上サウンドではないのですが、これこそオーコイン・マスターが吸い込んでいた“現場の音”そのもの。世界中のKISSアーミーが誰も聴いたことのない演奏がたっぷり９曲楽しめるのです。
【“レディング・リハ”と“クレイマー・デモ”】
全世界初登場のニューヨーク・リハの後は、場所を移した「1976年11月15日レディング」のリハーサルと「エディ・クレイマー・デモ」を収録。先述した通り、この２つは古くから知られる大定番音源になるわけですが、演奏は聴いたことがあってもクオリティは誰も聴いたことがない。オーコイン・リールにだけ眠っていた史上最高峰クオリティ版なのです。
実際、そのサウンドは大元リールならではの瑞々しさが鮮烈で、ニューヨーク・リハも大幅に上回る。元々ハイクオリティなサウンドだからこそ広く知られてきたわけですが、まるで別物のように生まれ変わっています。
誰も聴いたことのないニューヨーク・リハと、誰も知らなかったレディング＆デモのサウンド。これこそ、育ての親だからこそ持ち得た“音”なのです。バンドの裏の裏まで知り尽くし、どの現場にも居合わせてリードしていったビル・オーコイン。その秘蔵アルバム。今週、全世界に向けて奇跡の大公開です。
