Mクローデルの最新作は、ジョンのソロアルバムのデモ、アウトテイク、ラフミックス、モニターミックスなどを集大成したシリーズの第一弾、「心の壁。愛の橋」のセッション音源になります。「心の壁。愛の橋」といえば、1974年にリリースされ、ジョンの初の全米ナンバー１ヒット曲であるエルトンジョンとの共演したシングル「真夜中を突っ走れ」と共に、アルバムとしても全米ナンバー1を獲得したジョンの代表作のひとつ。今となってはストリングス・アレンジが過剰な印象を受けますが、美しいメロディーの曲が並び、ジョンの世界観が存分に発揮された名盤です。本作は、そのアルバム「心の壁。愛の橋」のセッションを収録曲順に集大成した、実にディスク5枚に及ぶ初登場音源を含む、まさに当時のキャッチコピーの通り「Listen To This!」といった決定盤のセットになります。
