This work’s Nippon Budokan performance is highlighted among them. It is the set of the last two performances which one recording person recorded the whole.
And that sound is amazing. Realistic enthusiasm must also be realistic audience recording, but its solid core, detailed detail is suitable for calling “as if it is a sound board”. However, if you call it so, it may be rude to sound sources. The venue dressed in slightly lightly sounds colorfully the singing voice, making the performance even more glossy. 以上、全10公演。今なお根強い人気を誇っていますが、さすがは全盛期。公演数も規模も堂々たるツアーでした。本作の日本武道館公演は、その中でもハイライト。１人の録音家が丸ごと記録した最終２公演のセットなのです。
そして、そのサウンドこそが驚異的。現場の熱狂もリアルなオーディエンス録音には違いないのですが、そのしっかりとした芯、細やかなディテールは「まるでサウンドボード」と呼ぶに相応しい。しかし、そう呼んだのではむしろ音源に対して失礼かも知れません。ほんのりうっすらとまとった会場音響は歌声をしっとりと彩り、演奏を一層艶やかにしている。精緻にミックスされたオフィシャル作品のように美しく、それでいて一発録りだからこその生々しさまで宿っている。実は、この録音を手がけたのは伝説的な名手。ストーンズやエリック・クラプトン、ジェフ・ベックなど、80年代を代表する超名作を無数に手がけた人物であり、本作はその秘蔵オリジナル・カセットからダイレクトにCD化されたもの。公式ライヴアルバム並みのサウンド・クオリティでありながら、それ以上のリアリズムまで湛えた気品のサウンドなのです。
