Jack Bruce in 1971, three years after the collapse of CREAM and just before the start of WEST, BRUCE AND LAING. The best video of him who was pouting in the center of the scene is now available.
The true identity of this work is the documentary program “SWING IN” produced by the public broadcasting station WDR (West German Broadcasting), which can be called NHK in Germany. It is a famous historical program for collectors, but this work is the latest version that updates its highest quality. It is a DVD version of the digital master officially released by WDR recently.

This is Jack Bruce in 1971/1972. WEST, BRUCE AND LAING started in January 1972, but 1971, just before that, was an era of trial and error. Most of them were under the name of JACK BRUCE & FRIENDS, but they also performed live with various projects such as NUCLEUS, LARRY CORYELL BAND, and JACK BRUCE TRIO. Under such circumstances, this work was shot at the beginning of the main “UK” tour.
The “THINGS WE LIKE” jacket is perfect for the interviews and behind-the-scenes shots that capture the current of the times, but the highlight is the live music. On the same day as the interview, he performed three songs by playing the blues alone, and on another day, he played two songs in rehearsal with the band members at the time. そんな本作の正体は、ドイツのNHKとも言うべき公共放送局WDR（西部ドイツ放送）が製作したドキュメンタリー番組“SWING IN”。コレクター諸兄には有名な歴史的名番組ですが、本作はその最高峰クオリティを更新する最新版。ごく最近にWDRが公式に公開したデジタル・マスターをDVD化したものなのです。
