Long-haired Bruce Dickinson’s last visit to Japan, “FEAR OF THE DARK TOUR 1992”. That precious audience shot is now available in the gift title.
IRON MAIDEN made his sixth visit to Japan with “FEAR OF THE DARK”, which was said to be “a masterpiece since” The Number of the Beast “!” In England at that time. Included in this work is “October 26, 1992: Nagoya Rainbow Hall Performance”. First, let’s check the position from the tour schedule at that time.
・ October 26: Nagoya Rainbow Hall [This work]
・ October 28: Fukuoka Welfare Pension Hall
・ October 30: Hiroshima Welfare Pension Hall
・ November 1: Osaka Archaic Hall
・ November 2: Osaka Festival Hall
・ November 3: Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium
・ November 4: Yoyogi Stadium
Above, all 7 performances. The Nagoya performance of this work was the first day of the live performance. Such a work is a really wonderful audience shot. The picture was taken from the stand seat on the right side of the stage (on the Janick Gers side), but the head and arms in the front row are not reflected (a little shadow of the fence is included), probably because it was the front seat. What’s even better is the master freshness, with no dubbing marks and no white line noise. The coloring is vivid and beautiful, and the back drop album art is also clear and beautiful. It is a visual beauty that vividly revives the memories of those days.
And the camera work is also wonderful. Obviously it’s a secret recording, but the boldly aggressive zoom is a highlight. Chasing around the moving blues and Steve Harris, he also firmly holds down the stilts Eddie of “The Clairvoyant”, which is the backdrop that replaces each song. Perhaps because I focused too much on Bruce & Steve, I love the fact that I noticed the giant tree spirit Eddie of “Iron Maiden” late, but of course, after I noticed it, he took a perfect picture.
The splendor of the show drawn with that quality ……. The singing voice of the blues, which made a big revival in the previous “NO PRAYER ON THE ROAD”, is kept as it is, and the masterpiece that continued from “The Number of the Beast” is rushing. The summary set list is full of the unique flavor of “FEAR OF THE DARK TOUR”, which allows you to draw a powerful vocal.
MAIDEN is waiting for the recurrence of the official video “DONINGTON LIVE 1992”, but I’m a little worried that it will make that hard-to-see video processing Matomo. However, this work is a 100% naked eye scene. It is one that will bring back the memories of those days with a realistic experience. It is rumored that there will be a reprint tour of this era in the near future, but first of all, please fully enjoy the “genuine” with this work.
