“TOOLBOX” is a unique melodic hard rock that is different from both DEEP PURPLE and the old GILLAN. The big classic pro shot that will be the live version of that masterpiece is decided to be a gift release.
This work was shot at “November 4, 1991 in Frankfurt”. That multi-camera pro shot. Even in recent years, Giran has been performing solo live in parallel with DEEP PURPLE, but “TOOLBOX Tour” was the last full-scale solo tour as a main business band. First of all, let’s look back on such a world tour with a panoramic view and confirm the position of the show.

● 1991
・ August 10 + 11: Denmark (2 performances)
<< August “TOOLBOX” released >>
・ October 4-31: UK (20 performances)
・ November 2nd-December 15th: Europe # 1 (36 performances) ← ★ Coco ★
● 1992
・ January 30-February 10: Europe # 2 (6 performances)
・ February 15-March 14: Asia / Australia (21 performances)
・ March 20-April 12: Scandinavian (22 performances)
・ April 30-June 7: Central and South America (21 performances)
・ June 25 + July 5 / September 5-11: Europe # 3 (5 performances)

This is Ian Gillan from 1991/1992. The scale from Eastern Europe to the Southern Hemisphere and the number of performances exceeding 130 times are imposing. It was an introductory tour that was impossible with two pairs of straw shoes. Among them, Europe was the main battlefield, and Germany had the largest number of performances. What is the performance of this work in Frankfurt? It was the third concert of “Europe # 1”.
This show has long been known to have been broadcast on local TV stations, and its professional shots have become a symbol of GILLAN in the 90’s. This work is a DVD version of the best master of such a classic professional shot. In fact, its quality is excellent. It’s an air check of historical video recording, and because it’s a local broadcast, I can’t tout it as “completely official!”, But the master freshness is wonderful. There are almost no dubbing marks, and the color is vivid without bleeding. The voice is a little unstable at the beginning, and there is no problem with “Toolbox”, but it improved soon. You can fully witness the precious stage.
And, speaking of preciousness, a set list full of extremely rare songs. What is the content……

● TOOLBOX (9 songs)
・ Dancing Nylon Shirt (Part 2) / Candy Horizon / Dirty Dog / Toolbox / Don’t Hold Me Back / Everything I Need / Bed Of Nails / Hang Me Out To Dry / Dancing Nylon Shirt (Part 1)

● DEEP PURPLE Classics (3 songs)
・ Maybe I’m A Leo / When A Blind Man Cries / Smoke On The Water

● Others (3 songs)
・ NAKED THUNDER: No More Cane On The Brazos
・ FUTURE SHOCK: New Orleans
・ Unreleased song: Blue Steel

… And it looks like this. DEEP PURPLE Classics and old GILLAN numbers are kept to a minimum, and a large number of new songs from “TOOLBOX” are played. All 11 songs on the album except “Pictures of Hell” and “Gassed Up” will be performed, and even the unreleased “Blue Steel” will be performed. It is a video work that truly becomes a “tool box that you can see with your eyes.” And the performance of spinning such a set is the best. The guitarist replaced Dean Howard in the middle of the tour, but I’m glad that Steve Maurice is the same as the album in this work. Although not the type that is overwhelming with a flashy solo, there is the person who wrote “TOOLBOX”, which is also whispered as the most catchy in GILLAN history. Both the melody and the groove will poke the points one by one.
The best masterpiece album “NAGOYA 1992 DAT MASTER (Shades 1415)”, which surpasses even this work in terms of sound and throat tone, was unearthed, but the persuasive power of the video is still enormous. It is a symbolic work of “TOOLBOX” that continues to shine with such fun to see and the taste of the original guitarist. Unlike DEEP PURPLE and the old GILLAN, the world of “TOOLBOX” was the coolest. Please take this opportunity to witness a professional shot.

●TOOLBOX(9曲)
・Dancing Nylon Shirt (Part 2)/Candy Horizon/Dirty Dog/Toolbox/Don’t Hold Me Back/Everything I Need/Bed Of Nails/Hang Me Out To Dry/Dancing Nylon Shirt (Part 1)

●DEEP PURPLE
Maybe I’m A Leo/When A Blind Man Cries/Smoke On The Water

NAKED THUNDER:No More Cane On The Brazos
・FUTURE SHOCK:New Orleans
Blue Steel
