ツアー開始間もない8公演目の本タイトルでは、ファンが心待ちにしていた最新ショウの全容が余すところなく収められています。Homo Erraticus plus The Best of Tull Tourの名のとおりショウの前半は最新作をアルバム全曲披露、後半は選りすぐりのJETHRO TULLナンバーという贅沢な2部構成となっており、これが極上の音質で聴けるのは至福の体験となること間違いありません。

ショウの第2部はデジタル時計が進む音に伴われJETHRO　TULLレパートリーを発表年代順に辿っていく形でThe Best of Tullが始まります。こうした過去の名曲・代表曲を顧みるセットリストのオープニングにLiving In The Pastを持ってくるところがイアン流のユーモアを感じさせます。早くも大定番曲Boureeでは、近年落ち着いたアレンジになることも多かったですが、ここでは躍動感のあるアンサンブルで1969年のオリジナルにより近い荒々しいロックフルートを聴かせてくれます。昨年、3rdアルバム「Benefit」のRemix盤（数々のプログレシヴロック名作リマスターを手掛けるスティーヴウィルソンがミキシング）がリリースされた流れもあってか、70年代前半を回顧するのにWith You There To Help Me、Sweet Dream、Teacherと「Benefit」関連曲がピックアップされています。Sweet Dreamは、No Lullabyのエンディングから続けて演奏されていた1978年頃のライブアレンジが挿入され懐古的な演出がありがらも、演奏は当時を上回るほどタフでエネルギッシュ。Teacherはシングルヒット曲ながらも、ライブでは1975年のMinstrel In The Galleryツアー以来の再演。現在のイアンには負担の大きい高音のヴォーカルラインをAdditional Vocalsのライアン・オドネルが分担することで、まったく違和感なく楽しむことができます。そしてショウのハイライトのひとつは一大コンセプトアルバムPassion Play 」からCritique Obliqueの抜粋です　。「41年経ってステージで演奏できるようになるのは、最もありそうもないことだ」とイアンのMCのとおり、このレアな選曲は大きなサプライズです。全米1位の成功を収めたアルバムにも関わらずJETHRO　TULLライブ史上、本編が披露されたのは計1年間強のみで（Passion Playツアーでのアルバムフル演奏が1973年5月～4ヵ月間、またパート抜粋がWarchildツアー前後11ヶ月間）で1975年8月以来、実に約40年ぶり。さらに驚くのは、40年前と遜色ない硬質でスリリングな演奏。また、10年ぶりにセットリスト入りしたSongs From The Woodでは、1987年以降のステージでは省略されることも多かった多声コーラスを再現しており、各プレイヤーの確かなスキルがうかがえます。Farm On The Freeway、My Godとドラマティックなナンバーで佳境を迎え、定番のAqualungではフロリアン・オパールが速いパッセージやワウペダルによる独自の表現を織り交ぜ、定番曲の中にも勢いをもたらし、アンコールのLocomotive Breathでプレイヤー一丸となりクライマックスへと加速します。
