“NOT IN THIS LIFETIME … TOUR” in 2018 when it finally began to demonstrate us. That superb long live album is appearing.
In our shop, the first album “BERLIN 2018 (Shades 928)” in 2018 has been highly popular, but this work is the second one following it. It is a superb audience recording of “Bletiny-sur-Orge Performance” on June 18, 2018. First of all, let’s grasp the position of the show within the ongoing tour schedule.

· November 8 – 25: Asia (7 performances)
· November 29: South Africa Performance

This is the schedule which has been published to date. This year it started from June and is now on the road in Europe. The Bretigny-sur-Orge performance of this work was a concert corresponding to the sixth performances. This show is a French edition of the huge festival “DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL”. DOWNLOAD The home of the festival is British donington, but from 2016 it has become multinational. In 2018, it was held in four countries of the UK, Australia, France and Spain. GUNS N ‘ROSES has appeared in three European countries outside of Australia.
This work which contained such a show is a superb recording of plenty of outdoor taste. It is a work of a recordingist who has recently emerged in France, but there is little sense of distance, details are detailed. And clearly the outdoor clearance with no wall or ceiling echoes is wonderful. In the case of a huge festival like DOWNLOAD, a huge PA tower can be built for audiences away from the stage, but perhaps you are recording directly from that PA tower. While capturing the sound of zero echoes cleanly, the great frenzy before the stage is far away. It ideally contains nearest sound and enormous site spectacle. Whether it is flushed by the wind, there is not a part where the singing voice becomes very unstable slightly (wind sound is zero) so it can not be said as “as if it is an official”, but vibrant detail and a sense of straight-line are soundboard · It is a class.
GUNS N ‘ROSES that has entered full power at last by following the number of places that are drawn with such quality. “BERLIN 2018” was the first day of the tour resumption, or it was about 2 hours and 40 minutes show, but this work gained a lot at once. It was a long concert lasting about 3 and a half hours. Actually, “BERLIN 2018” was a heap of repertoire that could not be heard. A little enumeration …… “Shadow of Your Love” “You Could Be Mine” “New Rose” “Coma” “Yesterdays” “Black Hole Sun” “Sorry” “Do not Cry” “The Seeker” It is behavior.
Of course, it is not just a huge pile. In “BERLIN 2018”, “Slither” which is dedicated to Scott Wayland became a topic, but he continues to perform in this work as well. “Black Hole Sun” who remembered Chris Cornell, and “The Seeker” which also takes place the birthday song chorus of Dizzy Reed who was 55th birthday this day … …. Sharpness is “Shadow of Your Love”. Although it was single-cut from “LOCKED N ‘LOADED” released recently, it is revived on stage. The live performance for the first time in 31 years really bursts with a superb sound. Of course, playing a long set as much as that is because the band is on top of the right shoulder. It is a live album that can fully enjoy unbearable tension for about three and a half hours.

“NOT IN THIS LIFETIME … TOUR” which raised the condition from the restart and was raised to the level for more than 3 hours again. It is a masterpiece live album that can experience full experience with its latest show. いよいよ本領を発揮し始めた2018年の“NOT IN THIS LIFETIME… TOUR”。その極上・長尺ライヴアルバムが登場です。
当店では2018年の第一報アルバム『BERLIN 2018（Shades 928）』が大好評を賜っておりますが、本作はそれに続く第２弾。「2018年６月18日ブレティニー＝シュル＝オルジュ公演」の極上オーディエンス録音です。まずは、現在進行中のツアー日程の中でショウのポジションを把握してみましょう。

これが現在までに公表されているスケジュール。今年は６月から始動し、今まさにヨーロッパを巡業中。本作のブレティニー＝シュル＝オルジュ公演は、その６公演目にあたるコンサートでした。このショウは、巨大フェス“DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL”のフランス編。DOWNLOADフェスの本場と言えば英国ドニントンですが、2016年から多国化。2018年はイギリス・オーストラリア・フランス・スペインの４ヵ国開催となりました。GUNS N’ ROSESは、そのうち豪州以外のヨーロッパ３ヵ国に出演しています。
そんなショウを収めた本作は、野外の旨みがたっぷりの極上録音。最近フランスで頭角を現してきた録音家の作なのですが、距離感がほとんどなく、ディテールも詳細。そして何より壁や天井の反響が一切ない野外ならではのクリアさが素晴らしい。DOWNLOADのような巨大フェスの場合、ステージから離れた観客のために巨大なＰＡ塔が建てられるのですが、恐らくはそのＰＡ塔からダイレクトに録音しているのでしょう。反響ゼロの間近サウンドを綺麗に捉えつつ、ステージ前の大熱狂は遙か彼方。ド直近サウンドと巨大な現場スペクタクルを理想的に収録しているのです。風に流されるのか、ごくごく僅かに歌声が不安定になるパートもなくはない（風音はゼロです）ので「まるでオフィシャル」とまでは言えませんが、鮮やかなディテールと直球感はサウンドボード・クラスです。
そんなクオリティで描かれるのは、場数を踏んでいよいよ全力運転に入ってきたGUNS N’ ROSES。『BERLIN 2018』はツアー再開初日ということもあってか、２時間40分程度のショウでしたが、本作は一気に大増量。約３時間半に及ぶ長尺コンサートになったのです。実際、『BERLIN 2018』では聴けなかったレパートリーが山盛り。ちょっと列挙してみると……「Shadow of Your Love」「You Could Be Mine」「New Rose」「Coma」「Yesterdays」「Black Hole Sun」「Sorry」「Don’t Cry」「The Seeker」と大盤振る舞いなのです。
もちろん、単なる大盛りでもない。『BERLIN 2018』ではスコット・ウェイランドに捧げるような「Slither」が話題になりましたが、引き続き本作でも演奏。クリス・コーネルに想いを馳せる「Black Hole Sun」、さらにこの日55歳の誕生日だったディジー・リードのバースデイ・ソング大合唱も巻き起こる「The Seeker」……。極めつけは「Shadow of Your Love」。先頃リリースされた『LOCKED N’ LOADED』からシングルカットされましたが、ステージでも復活。実に31年ぶりとなる生演奏が極上サウンドで炸裂するのです。もちろん、それだけの長尺セットを演じるのも、バンドが右肩上がりの絶好調だからこそ。衰えぬテンションを約３時間半にわたってたっぷりと堪能できるライヴアルバムなのです。
