Introducing the tape “Mike Millard Tape” recorded by Mike Millard, a taper familiar to fans with the outstanding technology of audience recording. Several sound sources based on Mike Millard tape have been released from the same label, but if you look closely, there are two types, “Brushed Mike Millard Tape” and “Legendary Mike Millard Tape”. Did you notice that there is? Not all Mike Millard tapes have perfect sound quality, and some of them have room for improvement, and the “Brushed” series has been significantly improved. Originally, it was almost perfect and there was not much room for improvement, and the “Legendary” series was limited to light editing such as between songs.
This item is a live recording from Genesis’ 1976 “Trick of the Tale” tour and will be in the “Legendary” series. Tour from the first album without Peter Gabriel, the first leader of Genesis. The representative songs “Dance on a Volcano” and “Sconk”, which will be performed later in the live, and the magnificent “Los Endos” that will decorate the final stage were born at this time. Also, Phil Collins will be the vocalist for the songs of the Gabriel era, but it has a reputation for being very similar from the beginning, and there is no sense of discomfort. Participation in the famous drummer Bill Bruford, who has been sought after by prog-rock bands since that time as a support member! The twin drums with Phil are a masterpiece.

オーディエンス録音の卓越した技術でファンにはお馴染みのテーパー、マイク・ミラード氏により録音されたテープ『マイク・ミラード・テープ』登場です。同レーベルからマイク・ミラード・テープをマスターにした音源が複数リリースされておりますが、よく見ると『ブラッシュド・マイク・ミラード・テープ』と『レジェンダリー・マイク・ミラード・テープ』の二種類があることにお気付きでしょうか。マイク・ミラード・テープも全てが完璧な音質なわけではなく、中にはかなり手を加えて改良の余地があるものもあり、大幅に手を加えて改良されたものが『ブラッシュド』シリーズ。元々完璧に近く改良の余地があまり無く、曲間等の軽い編集にとどめてあるものが『レジェンダリー』シリーズとなります。
本アイテムはジェネシスの1976年『トリック・オブ・ザ・テイル』ツアーからのライヴ録音で、『レジェンダリー』シリーズとなります。ジェネシスの初代リーダーであったピーター・ガブリエルが抜けて最初のアルバムからのツアー。後のライヴでも演奏される代表曲『ダンス・オン・ア・ヴォルケーノ』や『スコンク』、そして終盤を飾る壮大な『ロス・エンドス』がこの時期に生まれています。またガブリエル時代の曲はフィル・コリンズが代わりにヴォーカルを務めるわけですが、当初からよく似ていると評判で、違和感無し。サポート・メンバーとして当時からプログレ系バンドに引っ張りだこだった名ドラマービル・ブラフォード参加！フィルとのツイン・ドラムは圧巻です。
