Gary Moore has been known as a great guitarist since the 1970s, and has received high praise for releasing “GRINDING STONE” and “BACK ON THE STREETS” not only as a work in THIN LIZZY and COLLOSEUM II but also as a solo. I did. However, in 1980, Gary’s enthusiastic activities at G-FORCE also failed in a short period of time, and he was swayed by record companies. There are not many types of live sound sources in the times. For that reason, the appearance of the audience sound source of “GARY MOORE & FRIENDS” in this work “LOOK AT YOU” was a very epoch-making event for the fans.

After the dissolution of G-FORCE mentioned above, Gary decided to produce multiple works for the purpose of digesting the contract with JET Records. One of them was a live album, where Gary was former LONE STAR vocalist Kenny Driscoll, KINKS bassist Andy Pyle, and Don Airey and Tommy Aldrich before joining OZZY OSBOURNE. Formed “GARY MOORE & FRIENDS”. The show will be held only four times in November 1980, and the London “Marquee Club” performance on November 5th and 6th will be officially recorded, and the later “LIVE AT MARQUEE” will be produced. This edition is a 70-minute recording of the first day performance of “GARY MOORE & FRIENDS” in Ashford, England on November 1st.
The set list consists of not only the solo songs of “BACK ON THE STREETS” but also various songs such as G-FORCE and THIN LIZZY. The feature of the official work “LIVE AT MARQUEE” is that it contains a lot of songs that were not recorded due to the recording time, and the order of the songs is also very different. You can fully enjoy. In terms of sound quality, this board is recorded with the highest level of audience recording at that time, which surpasses the sources known among traders. Although there are occasional noises from the master tape, the guitar and vocal keyboard are very easy to hear, and there are few places where there is too much input. You can check it.

The live is woven with classic songs such as “Back On The Streets” that decorates the opening, “Nuclear Attack” and “Rokin’And Rollin'” located in the latter half, and “CORRIDORS OF POWER” tour after 1982 You can see the template in. It is impressive that G-FORCE numbers are taken up abundantly in the form of being sandwiched between them, especially “Because Of Your Love” and “She She She’s Got You” are better than G-FORCE. It is a play that feels. Of these, “I Look At You” is a rare number whose live performance has been confirmed only on this day at the moment. The song, which features a pop taste with a melodious tune, features Gary’s favorite “crying solo” in the second half, and is the biggest listening place of this work that fans can not miss.
Gary fascinates fans with his unique playing style and tone that makes him realize “Oh, Gary” the moment he listens to any song, and at the same time, the band players also listen to the impressive performance as the name of “FRIENDS”. Kenny Driscoll’s singing with a pop taste is also wonderful, but especially Don Airey’s contribution is shining everywhere, “You”, the above-mentioned “I Look At You”, and the instrumental arrangement “Parisienne”. In “Walkways”, his play and seasoning reflect a different look of the song. In addition, Tommy Aldrich, who plays the drums, makes a sound that seems to be bare-handed play in the drum solo of “Dallas Warhead”, and enjoys his characteristic solo.
In the latter half of the live, you can see the choice from “DIRTY FINGERS” before production, and you can listen to the premiere of “Nuclear Attack” with excellent sound quality. In addition, “White Knuckles” and “Rockin’And Rollin'” conclude the main set with full force. Encore is THIN LIZZY number “Toughest Street In Town” and “Run To Your Mama” which were also featured in G-FORCE live. Both of them are performed only at this time, so it will be pleasing to the fans to listen to the live take in this way.

This work, which gives you a vivid experience of the live at that time that you could not know at the official live, is one that many fans have been waiting for to know Gary from G-FORCE to full-scale solo after 1982. is! If you haven’t listened to this work yet, please take this opportunity to enjoy the “transitional” show where the remaining scent of G-FORCE and the mood connected to 1982 live together!

ライヴはオープニングを飾る「Back On The Streets」や、後半に位置する「Nuclear Attack」や「Rokin’ And Rollin’」など定番曲が織り込まれており、’82年年以降の「CORRIDORS OF POWER」ツアーにおける雛形を見て取れます。
アンコールはG-FORCEライヴでも取り上げられていたTHIN LIZZYナンバーの「Toughest Street In Town」と「Run To Your Mama」。
