A necromancer label that reissues from the official master who officially took over the valuable titles of handmade labels for collectors that were distributed only in a small part. Rare titles are re-appearing at affordable prices with reissue emblems and newly refurbished back jackets.

You can enjoy the best ensemble by the big band of 1988, which also had the saxophone corps, with the powerful high-quality audience recording. Speaking of Zappa’s guitar, the thick sound of Gibson humbuckers such as Les Paul and SG was attractive at the beginning, but in the latter half including this live, the grass tone of Stratocaster bursts violently. The solo in the rare drama “Zombie Wu”, which has few opportunities for live performances, is a masterpiece. “Stairway to Heaven”, which is also the highlight of this tour, is not an official reggae version but a hard rock tone. This is because it’s a collector’s item. Gradually getting hot from the beginning of the ridiculous hustle and bustle, Zappa’s guitar solo was first featured in the solo part, and from there the thick solo by the saxophone corps who completely copied the familiar Jimmy Page’s guitar phrase was full of power. It’s a performance. By the way, there is a day when my son, Duisil, who participated as a guest in this Zappa solo part, will play it down with a distorted guitar, and it will appear on the reissue board of Necromancer at a later date, so please look forward to it. This is a highly recommended board that even those who are new to Crank Zappa should definitely listen to it.

極一部でのみ流通していたコレクターによるコレクターのためのハンドメイド・レーベルの貴重タイトル群を、正式に譲り受けた正規のマスターからの再発するネクロマンサー・レーベル。リイシュー用エンブレム、新装裏ジャケットにてレア・タイトルがお求めやすい価格にて再登場。

迫力満点の高音質オーディエンス録音にて、サックス隊も擁した1988年の大所帯なバンドによる最高のアンサンブルが楽しめます。ザッパのギターと言えば、初期はレスポールやＳＧといったギブソンのハムバッカーによる野太いサウンドが魅力でしたが、本ライヴ含む後期はストラトキャスターのグラス・トーンが激しくはじけます。ライヴ演奏の機会が少ない劇レア曲『ゾンビ・ウー』でのソロは圧巻。このツアーで目玉曲でもある『天国への階段』はオフィシャルで聴けるレゲエ・ヴァージョンではなくハードなロック調。これが聴けるのはコレクターズ・アイテムだからこそ。おどけた喧騒の序盤から徐々に熱気をおび、ソロ・パートではまずザッパのギターソロが大きくフィーチュアされ、そこからお馴染みのジミー・ペイジのギターフレーズを完コピしたサックス隊によるぶ厚いソロが押し寄せる迫力満点の演奏です。ちなみにこのザッパ・ソロの部分をゲスト参加した息子のドゥイージルが歪んだギターで弾き倒す日もあり、後日ネクロマンサーのリイシュー盤で登場予定ですのでご期待ください。クランク・ザッパ初めての方も是非一聴あれと願う大推薦盤です。
