The angle was aimed from the first floor stand seat (angle of about 30 degrees) on the right side of the stage, and since there were no obstacles in front, Clapton’s whole body was clearly captured from the diagonal right. , Sometimes it is a wonderful composition that the camera is directed to the whole stage and the members who were soloed. Recently, our shop has released the full version video of the audience shot on the second day of RAH, but although the set list is the same, the distance to the stage is closer to this work, and it is worth watching. However, only Layla and the encore at the end seem to have caused inconvenience to the main photographer, and another person switches to the video taken with a mobile phone from the first floor stand at 30 degrees to the left of the stage. After all, the image quality of these two songs is lower than the main part, but there is no trouble during shooting throughout, and the sound picks up the sound of the hall somewhat, but it is easy to listen and it can be said that it is an excellent image as a whole. The interesting thing is that when Layla’s intro flows, the audience rushes in front of the stage all at once, and most people are shooting Clapton with a smartphone. This is unthinkable in Japan. Even RAH, which is strict about filming and recording, and has proper security, was in a state of no control.

[Attractive set list that has changed completely from last year’s and this year’s March tour! ] The charm of this performance is not only that Clapton, who turned 77 this year, can be seen playing energetically, but also that the set list has changed significantly, which is rare for him. I’m sure he wants to play songs like this, but I can feel his professionalism in his attitude of constantly updating the stage with his fans in mind. The opening number is dedicated to Gary Brooker (former Procol Harum), a former ally and close friend who passed away in February this year. Clapton always has such bloody thoughts. And attention will have set in his latest song Heart Of A Child. Although it is a digital single released only for distribution, the original song had a taste of Latin scent, but here it is sublimated into the usual Clapton-like acoustic performance while leaving the mood. It’s a very good song for the current situation, appealing, “Don’t defile the innocent heart of a child.” Furthermore, I played in March of this year, but I set Chaplin’s Smile for the first time in 48 years since 1974. It’s also very rare that Layla has been played twice with an acoustic set and an electric set. In the past, there was this pattern only once in the 2001 Japan tour. It was a special night that fans could enjoy twice with different arrangements only for popular songs. The late solo in the electric Layla is worth watching because it plays a longer phrase than the second day. If you see this stage, you will want to wait for the performance in Japan again.

エリック・クラプトンがコロナ禍を経て、今年行なったロンドン、ロイヤル・アルバート・ホール（以下RAH）連続公演から、5月7日、初日の素晴らしい完全収録オーディエンスショットをリリース致します！このRAH公演は昨年予定されていましたものがコロナ禍で一年延期になり、遂に実現した特別なものでしたので、晴れてこのクオリティの高い画質と音声で観ることができるのは、観に行けなかったファンの方々には嬉しいことでしょう。アングルは、ステージに向かって右の1階スタンド席（30度くらいの角度）から狙ったもので、前方には一切障害物がなかったことから、クラプトンの全身を斜め右から鮮明に捉えており、時にはステージ全景やソロが振られたメンバーにもカメラを向けているという、素晴らしい構成です。先般、当店はRAH2日目のオーディエンスショットの完全版映像をリリースしておりますが、それとセットリストは同じものの、ステージとの距離は本作の方が近く、観ごたえがあります。但し、ラストのLaylaとアンコールだけは、本編撮影者に不都合が生じたようで、別の人物がステージに向かって左30度の1階スタンドからモバイルフォーンで撮影した映像に切り替わります。やはりこの2曲は本編に比べ、画質が落ちますが、全体を通して撮影時のトラブルはなく、音声は多少ホールの鳴りを拾っていますが、聴きやすく、トータルとして優れた映像だと言えます。面白いのは、Laylaのイントロが流れると、オーディエンスが一斉にステージ前に殺到し、ほとんどの人がスマホ片手にクラプトンを撮影していることです。日本では考えられないことです。撮影、録音に厳しく、セキュリティもきちんとしているRAHでも、もはや収拾がつかない状態だったのですね。【昨年および今年の3月ツアーからガラリと変わったセットリストが魅力！】
この公演の魅力は、今年77歳を迎えたクラプトンが単に元気に弾き捲る姿が観られるということのみならず、彼にしては珍しくセットリストを大幅に変えてきたことです。彼もこうした楽曲をプレイしたいのでしょうが、ファンのことも考えて、常にステージをアップデートしていく姿勢には、プロフェッショナリズムを感じます。オープニングナンバーが、今年2月に亡くなったかつての盟友で親友だったゲイリー・ブルッカー（元プロコル・ハルム）に捧げられているところにまずグッと来ます。クラプトンにはいつもこうした血の通った想いがあるのです。そして注目は、目下の最新曲Heart Of A Childをセットインさせたことでしょう。配信のみでリリースされたデジタルシングルですが、原曲はラテンの薫りを漂わせるテイストになっていましたが、ここではそのムードを残しつつ、いつものクラプトンらしいアコースティック・パフォーマンスに昇華しています。「子供の純真な心を汚さないで」と訴える、今の情勢に向けたとてもいい曲です。さらに今年の3月にもプレイしていましたが、チャップリンのSmileを何と74年以来48年ぶりにセットインさせています。この今の時代だからこそ「微笑み」を求めたクラプトンの心情が推し量れます。この曲から始まるアコースティックセットには、地元ということもあってアンディ・フェアウェザー・ロウが飛入り参加して、好サポートしているのも見所です。後半はいつもの王道構成です。この安心感！元気なクラプトンがここにいてこの曲をプレイしるだけでファンは喜んだことでしょう。また、Laylaがアコースティックセットとエレクトリックセットで2回プレイされている事も非常にレアなことです。過去にこのパターンがあったのは、2001年のジャパンツアーのみの一度きり。大人気曲だけにファンはアレンジ違いで二度も楽しめるという特別な一夜でした。エレクトリックのLaylaにおける後奏のソロは、2日目よりもいいフレーズを長く弾いているので観ごたえがあります。このステージをご覧になれば、また来日公演を待望したくなるでしょう。
