Listening to this first day, which was also in the Uxbridge review, was a significant setlist change from the Japan Tour, which took place only a month ago. And there was a topic at the opening that I played Qué sera sera dedicated to Doris Day, who died at the age of 97. This is only the first day. Clapton who touched her intelligence on this day rehearsed this song at the time of sound check and played it on the stage of the night immediately. 先週、逸早くエリック・クラプトンの5月に行なわれたロンドン、ロイヤル・アルバート・ホール3公演の極上ステレオ・オーディエンス音源を超速リリースし、クラプトンファンの皆様に喜んでいただきました。何せ世界的に有名なテーパーDaspyknowsがわざわざクラプトンを観る（そして録る）ために渡英し、方向性に優れ、雑味のないクリアな録音を可能にするマイクの名機Schopes　MK4を使い、ベストと言えるポジションでレコーディングを敢行しただけあって、その音質は最高でした。すると、オーダーいただきましたクラプトンマニアの方々からは半ば予想どおりの反響がございました。「こんな素晴らしい音質で録音されたマスターは、やはりプレス盤で永久保存しておきたい。とりあえず早く聴けたのは嬉しかったが、きちんとプレス盤もお願いしますよ。」とのご意見でした。それならば、とご期待に応えるのが当店の使命です。今週は3公演まとめてプレス盤でのリリースを実現しました！Daspyknowsのマスターも極上音質でしたが、当店はそれをさらに磨き、進化させました！ロンドンの有名なこのホールは形状がドーム型につき、特有の音鳴りがあることで知られています。Daspyknowsの極上音源でも、やはり僅かなホール鳴りが感じられたのは事実です。従いまして、当店は全体的にホール鳴りを抑えるマスタリングで、自然に演奏が締まった印象にしました。これでこそプレス盤でリリースするクオリティというわけです。Uxbridge盤のレビューにもありましたこの初日の聴きどころは、僅か1ヶ月前に行なわれたジャパン・ツアーからの大幅なセットリストの変更でした。しかもオープニングには、この日97歳で亡くなったドリス・デイに捧げるQue sera seraを演奏したというトピックがありました。これは初日のみです。この日に彼女の訃報に触れたクラプトンは、サウンドチェック時にこの曲をリハーサルし、すぐに夜のステージで演奏したとのことです。ここからは想像になりますが、この日の出来事は2001年のアルバム「REPTILE」にリンクすると思います。あのアルバムは、実母に見捨てられた幼少時代のクラプトンを可愛がり、ファッション、車、音楽、ひいては男の価値観のすべてを教えてくれた伯父さんの訃報に触れ、溢れ出る郷愁から心を動かされ制作したものでした。その伯父さんに幼きクラプトンはこの歌を聴かされ教えてもらったのではなかったでしょうか。Que sera seraがヒットしたのは1956年、クラプトンが11歳の時です。ラジオから流れてきたか、あるいは伯父さんがレコードをかけてくれたのか。そうして曲名を覚え、幼な心に刷り込まれたこの歌を聴けば、いつでもあの時代の伯父さん、暮らした実家のすべてが思い出される。そんな思い出への扉の鍵となったこの歌をクラプトンはずっと愛してきたのでしょう。それを歌っていた憧れの女性歌手ドリス・デイが旅立ちました。このタイミングでクラプトンは彼女への感謝の気持ちを表したかったのでしょう。クラプトンとは、そんな人間らしい一面を持った人なのです。そしてコンサートの定番だったWonderful TonightとCocaineを落とし、2009年以来のMotherless Childrenを復活させ、アコースティックセットではLaylaの代わりにChange the Worldをセットイン、後半部にはTearing Us Apart、Holy Mother、Five Long Yearsといったレアなナンバーをずらりと揃えました。そして日本公演では初日にしか演奏せず、連日ファンをやきもきさせたエレクトリックバージョンのLaylaをドンと披露。さらに極め付けはアンコールでした。86年から賞賛し続けていた故プリンスの代表曲Purple Rainを演奏したのです。86年当時、プリンスの映画「パープル・レイン」を観た夜、帰宅したクラプトンはその映画の余韻に触発され、Holy Motherを書き上げたと言います。そのHoly Motherもこの日に演奏しています！クラプトンの心の中ではこのセットリストすべてが繋がっていたのかもしれません。そういう人なのです、クラプトンという人は。日本公演を観たファンにしてみれば、僅か1ヵ月後のロンドンでこれほど異なるセットリストになるとは思いも寄らなかったことでしょう。意味があった、セットリストのこの劇的な変化。是非この感慨深いセットを極上音質のプレス盤で永久保存お願いします！
