This week commemorates the release of Eric Clapton’s 75th Japan Tour first day sound source with the first complete recording, and has also released an upgrade version of the second day of the same tour! This work is a complete recording of the Osaka Festival Hall performance on October 23, 1975 with a very good stereo audience recording. The master of this work is the same as the one used for 6 CD “GOT THE POWER” and 3 CD “1975 Japan Tour Retrospective”. However, this work has dramatically improved sound quality, and is the true master quality that has become the longest recording time ever. “GOT THE POWER” has a high pitch on the whole, an intro about 15 seconds shorter than this work, Disc 1 last cheering was missing. Sound quality was greatly inferior to this work than anything. Although the sound quality of “1975 Japan Tour Retrospective” was equivalent to this work, the pitch was very high. And incomplete recording called digest recording for only 37 minutes. In addition, 3 seconds until the pause of the intro did not enter. That’s why you can see that this work is the final version of the second day performance upgrade. So let’s check the schedule of this Japan tour again.

Originally designed for classical concerts, the Osaka Festival Hall was said to be Japan’s foremost in acoustic excellence. The master of this work performed there and recorded is also a wonderful sound. It is thought that it was using considerably high-end recording equipment from being recorded clearly so far with a wide stereo sound. Clapton, who attracted the audience on the first day, drastically changed the set list on this day and surprised the audience. Gravure was published in the music magazine of those days, but Clapton’s looks of this day were standing with cool appearances such as blue jeans, shirts with white dots on black, collarless jackets and quilted long boots with fur. In the opening, Layla, we have an equally inspiring solo on the first day of the previous day. Now that the strength of Clapton’s strong performance on this day will come true. And for the second track, I played the famous Bell Bottom Blues from the album “LAYLA”. The song will be played on stage next 14 years later. I played on the last US tour, but this was the only day I played this song on this Japan tour. It is the middle of a sad solo utilizing long tones. The fourth song that continued to surprise the audience. Albert The King’s Blues, As The Years Go Passing By, which revealed that Clapton was the source material of Layla’s famous riff. Perhaps no one knew the title of the song at the venue at that time. This song was only played on this day’s tour, and it is the only day that the live take of this song has been left on Clapton’s entire carrier. It is now a legendary day among the fans on this second day, as it is only two songs that are very valuable in the history of Japanese performances, and also in the career history of Clapton. Like the first day, I’m delighted that Clapton’s play is thriving, so I Shot The Sheriff on this day is a major heat performance for over 10 minutes, including Clapton and Terry’s twin lead parts. After the performance of this song, a yellow cheering voice “Jammy! (Dammy Jamie All Daycar)” flies from a woman at the venue, but Clapton quickly hears that the pronunciation is wrong and returns “Jammy?” There is a scene. At this time, we can see the situation where the accurate information of the band members had not been distributed yet. One year since the first visit of the previous year. The history of Clapton’s Japanese performances was created from here. During the day, MusicLife magazine interviewed in Clapton’s hotel room. The interviewer is Kaoru Togo, who was then the editor-in-chief of the magazine. The interpreter was hired by young Peter Barakan. On the occasion of this interview, Mr. Togo slammed Crapton with a nasty question: “If you are a black man, you say that whites can not play blues?” Clapton, on the other hand, finally came to mind after thinking for a very long time, “some times I think I can do it, sometimes I think I can not do it. I answered. It was on this day that Clapton, the moment he spent his life in blues worries, expressing emotions at the bottom of his heart, was on fire. How does Clapton answer the same question now? Maybe not laughing and not answering anything. (If you look at what I’ve done, you can see that, right?) It is ugly on the first day but the play on this day is also great. The main work of the second day is also removed with the first day. We look forward to your early order.

As The Years Go Passing Byでした。
