このリハーサルが価値あるのは、翌日の本番では、このメンバーたちと演奏したのはSweet Home Chicago1曲だけだったにもかかわらず、ここではいろいろな曲を取り上げ、セッションしていたという点です。誰がリーダーシップを執るでもなく、その場のノリで自由に演奏が展開されています。これぞセッションの真髄というものでしょう。内容に関してですが、２テイク収録されているBefore You Accuse Meまでの前半は、翌日のBefore You Accuse Me本番同様、クラプトン・バンドだけによる演奏となっていると思われます。バンドのウォームアップを目的としてBorn Under A Bad Sign、Bad Boy、I Was Made To Love Her、Signed, Sealed, Deliveredを本番さながらの迫力で演奏するクラプトン・バンドの演奏を最高のステレオ・サインで聴けるのはファンには堪らないものがあります。翌日に本盤でも演奏されるBefore You Accuse Meは２回繰り返し演奏されてますが、この曲がこれほどしっかりとリハーサルがされていたという事実にも感嘆します。本盤同様にゲストが入り乱れて演奏されるSweet Home Chicagoと Who Do You Love / I Want Candyは本タイトルの最大の聴きどころです。Who Do You Love / I Want Candyではボ・ディドリーが、Sweet Home Chicagoではバディ・ガイをメインにフィーチャーしており、ゲスト参加した複数のギタリストらのソロ回しなど、楽しい聴きどころを生々しいサウンドボードで楽しむことができます。

。実は、この音源自体は90年代に一度リリースされたことがありました。しかし、既発盤はカセットマスターからのCD化でした。このたび当店は、この流出マスターのファースト・ジェネレーションのDATコピーをイギリス在住の重鎮テーパーから直接譲り受けました。既発のカセットテープマスターに比べ、格段にクリアさがアップしたDATマスターから本盤は製作されています。ヒスノイズなど皆無のクリアなアップグレード・サウンドをお楽しみください。古い音源だけに元マスターでは、Bad Boy の一部に片チャンネルが無音の箇所がありましたが、当店のプロ級マスタリングにより、これらの部分を疑似ステレオ処理することによって違和感をなくし、格段に聴きやすくしています。これにて本盤は本音源の決定版と断言できるクオリティになりました。(Bad Boy3:20-3:30にかけての劣化はマスターテープに起因するものです。）弾き捲るクラプトンとゲスト・ミュージシャンたちの駆け引き、一期一会の競演をお楽しみください。プレスCDでの限定リリースとなりますので、どうぞお早めのオーダーをお願い致します。
