This week’s Clapton, from the Japan tour of 1977, another new master of regional performances will be released! This board is made from a newly discovered master completely different from the already-launched board which recorded the first hall performances of the Kyoto Kaikan 1st Hall on September 29, 1977 by the stereo · audience recording (Unfortunately Angkor More On Up The Road was not recorded yet. Currently, the already-released board recorded with high spec equipment is said to be the only definite version, but this board gives a step to stereo feeling and clearness, but it is a low-pitched sound power centering around drums It is to convey the overwhelming reality of the day. Since we are directly handling the cassette master of the first generation which was good in storage condition from the recording person himself, the freshness of the sound does not change from 40 years ago at all. The unusual Kyoto performance performances which will revive beyond the time of 40 years are packed in the main board. This Japan tour began from the Osaka Festival Hall on September 26th, and the day of the main board was hitting the 3rd performances in the first half of the tour. Actually, this Japan tour was carried out with a special meaning among Clarept’s careers. Let ‘s look at the history of Clapton’ s activity this year before explaining about that.

In May, which was the interval between this schedule, Clapton performed the recording of the famous record “SLOWHAND” at the Olympic studio in London. We completed the short tour and spotted the Spanish performances. However, the set list at these stages remained the same as before, as the set songs of the previous work “NO REASON TO CRY” were set in. However, on the Japan tour that was organized afterwards, we began recording, and we showed the number from the new work “SLOWHAND” before the release, for the first time live. I never had such a thing in the previous Japan tour, and since then, it is not a Japan tour until today, except for 1997. I do not go out of the imagination, but Clapton thinks that I wanted to quickly listen to new songs to the Japanese audience that I loved at this point. In the first half of the tour, The Core and We’re All The Way which are also included in the main board were shown (Cocaine was also shown at the final East Japan performance). It is also interesting that the thought for Wonderful Tonight, which became a large classic song of later years, was not at this time. There are other attractive points, too, and I am playing Bottle Of Red Wine from the first solo album on the second track suddenly. This tour was the only tour that I heard in Japan. In addition, I played Steady Rollin ‘Man recorded “461” which was not playing at all this time only in this Kyoto performance. Although Kyoto performance which was attractive as a set list, the best thing is that the clapton and band’s play quality of this day is high. Clapton is convolving the phrase of Cire Kire, as it is fueled by the tight support of the band. Although it is remarkable that Key To The Highway, Layla, even in Badge, Clapton cuts into the second solo that originally left to George Terry, and is developing a thrilling twin lead. The guitar used is “Blackie”, in the acoustic set it is Martin. In Angkor’s Further On Up The Road, he unusually quoted the theme of the movie “Night Stranger” during solo. This phrase was quoted frequently in Sunshine Of Your Love in 1990 and 1991 in later years, but it can be seen that it was already a favorite song of Clapton since this time. Kyoto performance of 77 years with various discoveries and listening comprehension playing. Please enjoy it carefully at the master of excavation.

We’re All The Wayが披露されました(終盤の東日本公演ではCocaineも披露されました)。 Further On Up The Roadでは、珍しく映画「夜のストレンジャー」のテーマをソロ中に引用している。
